it had some to do with that, but mainly the general repair bills the car was generating even for such a well looked after example.
a few of my friends have RS clios and they are superb but I couldn't justify it when a close family friend is a ford mechanic so maintainance costs for my ST are identical to the old dear's 1.4 ghia.

i would say this is true to an extent. i prefered the ST out of the two because i managed to find a well specced example. the clios i was testing all had cup packs and were very focussed. whilst the clio was quicker off the mark i feel that the handling on both the ST and 182 is spot on. I just prefered the ST out of personal choice. just make sure whatever you get has good tyres on it.

yeah, the full leather seats are a lot nicer than the 1/2&1/2 standard trim level. the facelift model that i lost out on before getting mine had them and it was the one part of the car i didnt like.

I'm not going to rise to this, however I will point out that I did not ban him and I certainly do not dislike him as I regularly chat to him.

Actually Janesy was banned cause he overstepped the mark with a mod not because the mod didn't like him.
