Althout climbing into the 306 felt right for me. It was my early 90's boxy style that I weirdly enjoy.....

No no no those black wheels are wrong IMO. The grilles and diffuser are very typical of the style of the pony car, but black wheels is venturing in to bleugh territory on a Monaro!

Well my wheels do need a refurb so I was thinking going only ever so slightly darker than the standard wheels.

I'm 100% sold on it. Well it starts its repair tomorrow so I'm going down to the bodyshop first thing with a few pics and get them to do it. Should have it back by the end of the week then.

1.6 may be a tad slow, but I would say 90% is town driving for me, so extreme power isn't needed, wanted, but not needed.

Mondeo 2.0 ghia x is still a sort of want, but I think in reality may be too expensive.

Fuel...well when compared to the 306derv and insurance. Unless 1ncb is seriously going to drop in price.
Need to see how much (going by stated figures and average for area fuel price) the focus would be.

By the looks of the things the focus ebony is more or less a ghia x in a smaller car.
Heavy research not done yet.

edit: And tax, but I think anything from the age I am looking at I will be raped.

also (saves me making a new post) the bounce back facility on the mondeo I was asking about may be auto closed windows or something else that makes the move when opening/closing....infact still don't really know XD

Quick check on things for the focus ebony.

Insurance is £120 cheaper, tax is £80, and fuel (10,00miles, average price for this area, quoted mpg) is £130 cheaper throughout the year. And you could argue, that being a smaller engine I would need to work it harder thus using more fuel... :confused:

I want to see the Hurf for Mod 2012 campaign include a demand for action regarding people that post about x, y and z being illegal with regards to insuring a car when they themselves do not have a clue.
