@Fox - If you saw it you could tell, it is too high up for someone to have scraped against it, and it is too smooth and consistent a motion to be accidental. There are also a couple of similar little "nicks" in the top corner and on the top corner of the door frame which have that wide, deep initial impact point and then a curved scrape motion. But they aren't as noticeable as the window bit thank god.

That guy is nobodies fool, and he's clearly pretty good with a camera based on the final shots, but uses an onboard flash to highlight the worst of the paint during the before photos..... Clever.

No not at all. The MX5 is the new Mondeo thread though has gone to pot because a Moderator took issue with me in what I, and a fair few others have deemed, unfairly. It was being discussed in the thread when without prompting an outcry of support for me has been voiced, which is completely appreciated, but I don't want anyone getting in trouble on account of me, nor do I want to the mod to feel too bad about what has happened.
