I want my sodding car back, it's been a week now. All they had to do was repair and paint the front bumper! I think I'll pop down tomorrow.
 
Hmm. I've got someone coming to look at my car.

Do I clean and polish it, or do I leave it dirty hoping that it'll hide imperfections? ;)
 
I think just washing it is the worst of both worlds.

It doesn't give it that 'Wow' shine or removes any scratches, but it means it clean enough to see the little imperfections you should expect on a 20 year old black car, so I don't know.

The guy coming to see it seems like a bit of a bodywork nut which as I've already established is where my car isn't the best, but its not awful. Other than the bits I've mentioned to him there isn't anything couldn't be sorted with a good paint correction/detail. I just want to keep him happy and get a quick and easy sale sorted.

But as I always think, more time than not if you're only spending £1200 on a car then £1200 is a lot of money to you and you want the best car possible for your money.

But you are right. If I got the bodywork sorted and detailed I'd be asking for nearly double that amount and waiting for the right buyer to come along, but I don't have the money to put into it and if I did find the money, I wouldn't really be in a position to wait the few months or so it'd take to find a buyer willing to pay top money.

Its an odd sale for me because every car I've gotten rid of previously I had gotten rid because I was bored of it and I was moving onto something better. This time I'm not bored of the car and I'm moving onto something soul crushingly worse (my mum's old 95 A4 1.8 non turbo that I can't get £300 for :D). I don't want to sell it but I know that I should sell it.

Its a sad day, my head finally beat my heart :(.
 
I think the default option is perma, then usually its changed after deliberation or whether the banning mod remembers :p
