Sometimes it is soooo frustrating, but sometimes I laugh my head off and think how do people take everything so seriously.
You have to be spot on in here on every little things, even things that doesn't matter gets scrutinise. Like my BMW to Mac analogy...i mean, what harm is that? no one's car is going to blow up because of it, I am not telling people to drive on the wrong side of the road.
This place is weird, been reading/posting here the last 2 months and i find it quite hostile at times.
I think Motors is just less tolerant of BS than most other forums or even sub forums within OCUK.
You won't be ridiculed if you don't know something as long as you're open and honest about it. Ask a question and you will get a genuine, honest answer. You might not like the answer but that's a different story.
It's the people that chat **** as if it's gospel who get called up on it or it's the people that ask for advice and then ignore it (usually to return with their tale between their legs) when things can get heated.
It's quite simple – if you can take a bit of banter and you're not full of **** you'll be fine. Lie, cheat or deceive and you'll feel the wrath of Motors.
I think the biggest bugbear people have in motors is people offering advice and opinion on subjects they don't seem to know an awful lot about. Nobody minds explaining things to people who want to learn, but people who think they know XYZ and end up posting completely false stuff just frustrate people.
