Hi John, you had yesterday off with a tummy bug and you took a day off 2 months ago so this is your first verbal warning

Hi John, I can see your eyes are still flared up from hay fever but having yesterday off means I have to give you your second verbal warning
Fair enough

I hear you had another day off with the squits from both ends but I'm sorry to say I have to give you your first written warning.
Bugger

You know why you're here, I know you were in A&E all day with broken fingers but here's your second written warning.

Here's your P45
To be honest having a day off with hay fever is laughable.
My hay fever is awful, but I just get on with it.
Also those having a day off with a cold are pathetic. Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze and keep it to yourself, but get your backside into work you lazy ****.
People need to realise that the British having loads of random sick days is why employers choose Eastern Europeans over them. Quite simply they work harder, don't pull pathetic sickies and don't run crying to the union when challenged over the pathetic sickies.
Where I work the company has very low staff sickness but very high works (hourly) sickness. Why? They get away with it.
Also we have lots of engineering contractors - They do not get paid if they are off ill, so guess what....they are not ill. If they were off sick like some of the workforce then they would be bankrupt!
