***Offical Dead Rising 2 Thread***

Definately getting this on both X360 + PC (PC version will look better + double GS as it uses GFWL).

DR1 is the reason I bought a 360 4 years ago:D

Its not that hard once you understand the game mechanics & where you can save (there are loads of places you can save ingame) you just need to plan your tactics in advance & use your brain a bit its not a game you can just play without thinking otherwise you get killed easily. Still think its the best 360 game ever made as so much to explore & do you complete it several times & there is always something you have missed

I even got 1000/1000 including the infamous hardcore achv for 7 day survivor  which is 14 hours minimum realtime without saving once so more like 15 hours minimum in one sitting  if anyone gets this you know they are a serious hardcore fan but more impressive is some guys have managed to survive for over 18 days :eek:

I would love the 7 day survivor achievement, it certainly is one of the best games of recent times.

I hope the second is as good as the first.

The first game was also pretty much the reason I decided to get an Xbox.

It is a hard game, not just because of the save system, but the supply of weapons, fighting boss characters and aiming can be tough and trying to rescue the survivors all in time and in the correct order is tough.

I finished it, but I don't think I bothered to play it back through to try and save more people.

Currently, I don't feel that interested in the sequel.
I'd certainly have to play the Case Zero demo to see if I will consider purchasing it.

Case zero is not free, will cost 400 msp. Any links to an online review? Interesting to know the thoughts.

DR1 = One of my all time fav 360 titles. It was an experience and a half surviving the hordes whilst rescuing the survivors and staring at Isabella's arse. Nighttimes was a headache and a half and sometimes I'd dare not go out...but that all changed when I got the chainsaws from that clown...

I'm hoping that DR2 is just as good but as with Mafia 2, some sequels just can't cut it. I hope I'm wrong and will still be purchasing it as I'm a big fan of the original having finished it 10+ times for max achievements iirc.

Hmmm...
So that's basically the Dead Rising 2 demo in a way, which you have to pay for?
Of which the review so far isn't that positive.

I'm already sat on the fence, this has just pushed me back over to my own side!

It's not really a demo as such.

It's being billed more as a prologue to DR2. It's roughly about 1.5 hours worth of gameplay if you just run through the missions, but there is a lot to do in the 'demo'.

There are about 10 achievements I think for it, and also progress from this game carries over to the proper DR2 game.

I absolutely loved Dead Rising 1, only 4 achievements left to grab at some point. Can't wait to play Case Zero and DR2, just hope they sort the controls out, they were the only thing wrong with the first game.

Case Zero is out now for those of you who are interested.

Also just to clear things up this is a standalone arcade game with it's own demo so you don't have to pay 400 points if you don't wish to.

I've been reading everywhere the 31st of August. I hate to sound pompous here but your intel is wrong :p I'm downloading it now. Sorry.

I did hear it got delayed in Japan though.
