******* OFFICAL La Liga Thread *******

Ronaldo on 2 goals in the Madrid game currently, thumping header from a corner just then. He's nearly scored a couple more, and set up a few sitters for others already.

If Ronaldo gets a hat trick the same weekend Messi gets one, what does that say about these two players or the current state of the La Liga?

I really hope they meet each other in the Champions League.

Where's Ronaldo?

Messi is just simply on another planet...another hattrick on Sat...the guy is just simply amazing but then saying that, lets be honest the La Liga isnt a very strong league when yr in and yr out its Barca and Real fighting it out for the title.

I fear for Arsenal when we meet Barca in the CL in a few weeks time...we are going to get battered to death especially with Squillaci and Kos as defenders:p...its going to be a massacre i fear.

Diaby must put years of poor performances and general banality and do something useful for once in his life.

Take out Messi for both games, in the first few minutes of the first leg. Get himself sent off. Both of these actions strengthen our chances - and then we may have chance.

Anyone else think Barca and finish the league without dropping any more points? They have only dropped 5 points all season. Thats just wrong.

What on earth makes you think Diaby is capable of accurately taking someone out of the game, he's a complete screw up, he'll try to break Messi's leg and end Fabregas's career instead. The further away Diaby is from the pitch the better, I think he makes the team worse just being in the stadium.

Barcelona have won every game away from home, scoring 36 and conceeding 4 lol :D

Yes, you would think that means the rest of the league is just rubbish, but then, other than Inter, how many Italian, English, French, German, Dutch teams have they also ripped to shreds just as easily in the past 3-4 years.

If they'd done that well in La Liga, but were hit and miss against the best from the other leagues, thats one thing, but they almost always win in the league and almost always win in the champs league aswell :(

Its barely a contest, worst thing is Arsenal are going to play to their strengths if we do something as stupid as RVP upfront on his own. Everyone but Bendtner being injured was a blessing in disguise last year, he didn't absolutely dominate the back two, but he won most of the headers against Puyol/Pique, scored a goal, set two up and had their defence pushed back much further than most teams. RVP won't offer anywhere near the same threat, same as Real, and they'll just push up and kill us the same way.

LOL:D...cant say i disagree....diaby is a walking and talking disaster in all honesty...

Sporting choosing to do something other than the usual suicide-approach to playing Barca that everyone else I've watched this season has done: press, hustle, chase things down, work hard. Unsurprisingly, Barca look far less God-like when they're not allowed to pass at their leisure.

Sadly my beloved Arsenal will probably be unable to emulate this.
