******* OFFICAL La Liga Thread *******

Real had Casillas sent off right at the start of tonight's game and they still look miles better than Espanyol even with 10 men. Got one goal and Adebayour just hit the bar.

Finally he's been taken off, in between that comment earlier and this one, he had two one on ones and handballed like an ass in the area.

Cheers for the £25m city. Money gratefully recieved. :D

We just got 15m for him so not all bad :)

I was under the impression that he was given to Real on a loan:confused:....unless ive missed something and you guys have actually sold him to Real now.

EDIT: yep hes been sent on a loan deal to Real with a view to making it permanent in the summer for £10mill or so.

Well Madrid have bought him now,
13.6m + 1.5m if Madrid win Champions League.
Thats what i have been told and read.

Again no they haven't nor will they. Come the summer having seen him for 5/6 months do you really think they'll want to keep him? No he'll be back at Eastlands in time for pre-season ;)

According to MEN
City have done a deal to sell off Emmanuel Adebayor to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Togolese ace has scored twice in two games during his loan spell with the Spanish giants.

But reports from Spain say that an agreement worth £15.3m had already been struck between the clubs.

That represents a significant loss on the player signed by Mark Hughes for £25m in the summer of 2009.

But Adebayor did not fit into Roberto Mancini’s plans and, after a bright start to his City career, when he scored in his first four league games, he failed to impress.

City are understood to have received £1.7m as a fee for the loan, and will get another £1.7m if Adebayor helps Madrid win the Champions League.

Then in summer, Jose Mourinho’s club will stump up an extra £11.9m to make the deal permanent.

^^^^Shame he couldnt score a goal last night with the amount of chances he had...it was hilarious but sad as well that he cant score for toffee:p

yes but:

Amortization = 25million on a 5 year contract. Fee is paid immediately upfront to club (or over a couple of years it's irrelevant). However, purely for accounting purposes it is divided over the length of a players contract. 25/5 = 5m/a.

So if we take it as read that you have received 15million you've paid 25million you've received 15million, which is a loss of 10million. in amortization terms you've spent 5mill +5mill and then had the other 3 years cancelled out by your net inflow. How it shows on your cash flow is different but there's no real way to view it but a 10million loss I'm afraid.

Ah ok, well either way the money will show up on Platini's bank statement so its all ok :)
Hopefully his move can pave the way for Lukaka as is being rumoured but who knows :)

yep it's beneficial in terms of fpp if it is as set out. As he'll no longer be an asset amortization won't apply so you'll have a 1 off 15million deduction but that will be immediately offset by 15million coming in. Then you'll save ?million a year on his salary, bringing you closer to being in line.
