******* OFFICAL La Liga Thread *******

Alonso - Fouls Conceded 3, Fouls Won 2
Diarra - Fouls Conceded 6, Fouls Won 1

I love stats.

I take it you didn't watch the game then, at all?

Diarra was involved in almost everything, Diarra completely ran the game and Alonso was rubbish throughout, the few times he was called into action his tackling was poor, he gave away a blantant yellow card when there was one guy attacking with most of the back 4 still to go through, 35-40 yards from goal, it was a complete inept tackle.

Diarra ran the ball forwards, won the ball, was involved heavily in getting the ball forward, he was involved heavily in closing down and he played all over the pitch.

Just for the sake of pointing out that your stats don't change anything I said. Diarra came out with the ball, a few were called fouls that really weren't, a few were fouls, he still got the ball ;)

ALonso was just so late he never came close to the ball, Diarra's a bulldog, he'll get the ball but sometimes get called a foul for agression though its worth pointing out I rarely see him do anything dangerous like De Jong, he tends to stay on his feet, he's stupidly strong for a tiny ickle guy.

Likewise I said Alonso missed most of his tackles, giving away less fouls doesn't make this true. Not every missed tackle is a foul, not every foul is a missed tackle. Someone could have given away 10 fouls all in tackles, but completed 20 others, while one person could give away 3 fouls(and get a yellow) for the only 3 tackles he made, and not complete one.

It really gets on my goat when people equat fouls and tackles as one and the same thing.

Not least because stats are based on ref's decisions, meaning fouls are just about the least accurate stat around.

Looking at Bale, did he get two yellows for two dives today for trying to get someone sent off, what about Pav?

As for being negative, its not negative. Today's Spurs/Chelsea game was devoid of almost any real quality, just end to end, it was competitive and exciting. Barca, in most games, walk the ball to the end of the field, wait for a mistake and walk it into the net, tell me where I said they weren't the best team, I didn't, just by and large they've become incredibly boring to watch. 9-1 demolishions are fantastic, if its your team, or its a general one off, when its every game, frankly its boring as sin, especially when the other team looks so scared of their own shadow they don't even make tackles.

I watched the Real game, or most of it, Real are prone to mistakes, defensively horrible and teams aren't "that" scared of them, it was competitive, I watched 15 mins or so of the Barca game, it was completely and utterly one sided, as almost every game I've seen them in for the past two years, I knew what result was coming, I was bored to tears 10 minutes in(to be fair, also rather worn out by football for the day) and just can't find that much enjoyment in a team winning that easily and that boringly with zero competitiveness at all.

You talk so much dribble and it amazes me the amount of effort you put into each post.

Proved to be talking crap in a thread I read not so long ago so most of the time I see this huge wall of text and give up.

The goals look easy because they make them look easy, the 1-2 passing all 1 touch is just brilliant stuff.

Alonso also set up Di Marias goal with a nice lofted through ball and spread the ball extremely well, this is more of his game.

Diara is more of a midfield general.

*edit*

I can't change the thread title can I?

Caught the second half of the AC Milan game today, they don't look to bad in the league and have a pretty nice attacking force :o

Boa teng seems to be playing well there, a beautiful touch to set up Robinho's goal.

Ibra took the 3rd rather well also.

I hope by some miracle that Barca get knocked out in the next stage of the champs league so no English teams have to play them. Currently, all 4 EPL sides in the tournament aren't playing at their best.

Barca
15 games - 46 goals
Messi - 17 Goals
They have scored 5+ goals in a game 6 times this season in all comps.

Unplayable. :/

Real Madrid have till April to get ready for Barcelona at home.

Should see him in the Khan thread, honestly what does it take? If Barca won 25-0, I am sure there would be many negatives in DM's eyes!

Problem is with DM is that he just doesnt appreciate good...sorry i mean great football and at the moment Barca are the epitome of great football...they make other teams look frankly rubbish and i do fear for Arsenal if we get them in the next round because quite simply they will tear us a new one if we play them :/ but if we get them then so be it...like greenlizard said earlier, its our own damn fault that we ended up 2nd place in our group.

Personally i think a lot of other La Liga teams are just **** scared of Barca...Hercules who beat them earlier this yr took the game to them whereas now it just seems that other teams let Barca walk all over them. But then lets be honest when you have the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Villa staring at you from the opposite end...its not going to be very nice playing them.

Hell in the next WC, should just put the team of Barca out....i bet they will make it to the final and win it no problem:p:D

What I've noticed about DM this weekend is that he seems to spend far more time looking at what was bad in a game than what was actually good. Spurs vs Chelsea was a perfectly entertaining game, yet all he did was spend ages trying to decide who the worst player on the pitch was. Same with this Barca game. Yeah it was lolSpanishDefending, but they still weren't crap goals.

And he wonders why people think he's negative.

When ever Dm appears in a thread its like a thunder cloud in summer, you know theres going to be rain on the parade.
Khan thread, football thread even in motors its just negative dribble. Lets face it barca are crap outside la liga:eek::confused:

I forgot why I had to stop watching La Liga / Serie A. There is always one ****ing **** with a megaphone.

As said earlier this week - Benzema is utter utter tripe.

Another time wasting card for Real Madrid - this time it's Ozil.
