***Official 2010 F1 thread***

Whilst they way they said it was a bit.... strong. I do in principle agree.

The FIA favored letting small or new teams join in that were singing from the low budget, standard engine hymm sheet, while ignoring the big teams and letting them walk away. There choice in teams has shown to be less than brilliant now though as half of them look like not existing at all. Prodrive, Lola, etc would have been much better bets, but I think the FIA wanted small teams they could get on there side, rather than big players who would join with the car manufacturers.

The FIA played with fire, and got a couple of fingers burnt. I just hope that the 11 teams that are testing and ready to go stay at it and dont fall by the wayside...

Had any other team come out with that diatribe, I suspect everyone in the entire frappin' world would have come out in banner-waving support. Can't see it happening with it being Ferrari somehow. Hey ho.

Mind, this does give me the perfect opportunity to post my old stand-by....

*clears throat*

FERRARI INTERNATIONAL ASSIST-.....oh.

;)

:D

Just wait for this season to unravel, JRS. If Ferrari and McLaren are battling it for top honours, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the FIA will assist Ferrari, in some shape or form, to manipulate the championship in favour of Ferrari. Just wait and see ;)

Oh and I fully expect the top 4 slots to be taken up by the Ferrari and McLaren drivers, in the WDC. 2010 is going to be a titanic battle, because for the first time since 2007, both Ferrari and McLaren have great cars and great drivers piloting them.

Is KERS going to be used this season? Also, is it broadcast in HD? :p

Seriously, I really can't wait for the new season. Already had my obligatory £50 bet. This year I've stuck with Ferrari / Alonso.

As a Kimi fan, I've had mixed fortunes with bets :p

2007 - Kimi - £50@ 4/1 - £250 return
2008 - Kimi - £50@ 3/1 - no return
2009 - Kimi - £50@ 7/2 - no return

It is interesting that its still dragging the present FIA through the mud even if its aimed at MM, and with the new head of the FIA being Mr Todt I think that name is rather suitable

(Im sorry but given how recently he was employed by Ferrari I cant see how anyone else could be more susceptible to "waivering" to their benefit than him)

Can we get rid of Legard yet?

:p

Start of the 2009 season, I didn't like him at all. He commentated like he was still on the radio. I grew to like him though over the season.

The same could be said about Eddie Jordan.

Are the BBC sticking with the same commentary / TV team?

I grew to accept Legard over the season. I just wish he would shut up and let Brundle speak more!
I tended to switch over to 5live commentary half way through a race.

Quite like Eddie though :)

Eddie is great.

Didnt he make the early call regarding Massa's injury? Somehow. Without going out of the view of the camera?

It was pretty close (chin vs eye). At the time he made his prediction, no one else even had a clue of what actually happened to Massa.
