Sky think they are the show.

But yeah on the face of it no real change, merc maybe slightly worse again, alpine slightly better and McLaren slightly worse.

Basically what the cost cap means is see the pecking order at the start of the season go to next season.

Aside from technical issues/reliability/some sort of crazy bad luck, Max will likely win every single race remaining. There is little point even thinking/wondering who will win. It will almost certainly be Max.

I've just made up my own championship in my head without Max in it. The battle for 2nd and 3rd should be interesting (Lewis, Alonso, Leclerc etc) :D

Same. If you ignore max, it's really interesting actually. Even if the races are hit and miss.

Wonder what it's like to cruise to victory every race. Can't be fun.

At least during the Hamilton era, Rosberg was somewhat competent, and even in the Bottas years, Ferrari and Redbull were quite close/on par. It would be much more interesting if Perez wasn't so darn helpless.

For team domination, rosberg/Hamilton was my recent fav. No issue with one team dominating if there's still battling. Even more juicy of its team mates!

and the fact the only rule of engagement was don't crash into each other. Same strategies, same tyres etc so they were fighting an even battle.

Yeh, the Ham and Rosberg years were pretty good. It was also good when Ferrari caught up with Merc for a bit.

As someone mentioned further up, it is worrying that the cost cap might just have locked RB's dominance in till the next rule change. If they also keep Perez, or another average driver in the 2nd seat, i fear we are in for another 2 seasons after this one, of the exactly the same (Max winning every race).

Doesn’t help that RB’s punishment, and I use the word lightly, has had, so far anyway, little to no effect on their performance, or development.

Don't see why it would be anything else if I'm honest.
I think at that point people will start switching off

People complain about the Merc/Hamilton era, but it did have a fair few decent seasons (championship battle wise) Rosberg vs Hamilton (2016, though even before then it wasnt a complete walk in the park for Lewis). Hamilton vs Vettel (2017/2018). Hamilton vs Max (2021)

I fear that this rule change era could end up being one of he dullest in terms of championship battles in ages until 2026.
