must be me, but i think commentary isnt so great these days, mind i was spoilt growing up with murray walker, it seems worse than last season, again its probably me

the UK commentary is gash. I have the TV on and then listen to Spanish Sports Radio on the internet for the commentary. Being fluent in Spanish is pretty handy. The Spanish commentators always go bananas anytime Alonso even looks like he is going to pull a move.

I'd rather commentary just be relatively neutral, and calm unless something genuinely exciting is happening. Probably why I can't stand Crofty. The bias of ITV commentary constantly bugging up Lewis, was one of the reason people hated F1 on ITV along with James Allen and ads.

Some of the best races I watched were in Spain with the commentary. I didn’t understand much, other than when they shouted Alonso :). Always made me chuckle.

That's false because many don't mind bigging up Lewis (he has won 7 titles don't forget and has that British hype to him)

There's other reasons why the majority don't like the commentary.

ITV and James Allen got incredibly bias and Sky are just as guilty.

I also can't stand the Sky pundits and their insessent need for trying to coax gossip/buzz words/headlines out of people like Toto and Horner before and after a race. 2021 was unbearable.
