Interesting question. Given their sometimes struggling to get it into the top 10 I would expect it would fail nearly all the time if they had the alpha T lineup for example, or the alpha R as even Bottas is looking past it now.

Yeh, i reckon if they had De Vries and Sergeant, they would be missing Q3 a LOT, and likely only getting low top 10 points frequently...

You've got to start wondering whether having Lewis and George driving for them flatters that car...

Totally. They have the best line-up on the grid.

Would it be solidly midfield with rubbish/average drivers ?

My guess is the difference between the best and worst drivers on the grid is probably around 0.8-1.0s/lap. The most we see between teammates is usually about 0.5-0.6s, but I don't think we ever see the absolute best and absolute worst teammates together. With things being pretty close this year that's enough to move a car around the order.

Yeah I'd love for them to run a weekend with a car swap I reverse order! Max and Lewis in a Haas and Sergeant and MDV in a RB and then see how much "bad" drives struggle to exploit a winning car and also how much the best drivers can drag out a sht box.

Russell's top 10s in that really bad Williams is probably the best indicator.
