Decent race 7/10. Plenty of stories up and down the grid. And always great to see two of F1's best drivers fighting for position.

Just a pity Max/RB are so far ahead, a three way fight between Max, Lewis, and Alonso would be amazing.

I didn't think it was boring because Verstappen, although plenty here will say that's the reason. It was boring because these cars are utterly ****. How many seasons more do we have with these pieces of ****?
Giant, unwieldly, ugly, horrible sounding... The absolute pinnacle of not giving a ****.

I fear you’re entirely correct.
I wouldn't be surprised if they are doing this purely to avoid being nerfed. :D You've got more chance of the other teams trying to nerf you if you are winning the race by 30 seconds than you have if you finish only 5 seconds in front.

Its funny because they were most exciting at the end of the last regs 2021... I believe the next change is 2026? Which i believe is engine not sure if it means car too? Other than redesigning the car around the new engine i guess...

I honestly think they have to get smaller/lighter though. They are such beasts now.

I nearly wrote the same thing in my above post. So yes totally agree, RB and Horner are slithery enough to be thinking like that in my opinion..

Nothing wrong in this at all and Mercedes have done the same in the past. Why stress the car when you can still win with it all turned down, just common sense really...

Quite boring. Drs trains again. Doesn't really look like they've solved that issue.

Not too much to say but looked like 1 stop was best strategy

Lol, you think Merc didn’t hold back during their years. Love how just because it’s RB, people lose their minds.

As with every era, cars get closer near the end. You have multiple completely separate teams, building their own concepts. I find it amazing that they’re even this close to each other. Yea, some boring races but no reg changes will fix that.

We're not even half way through the season and Max is almost three whole races ahead of his next cloest rival already.

We haven't seen that level of disparity since the Schumacher days (even Vettel was challenged by his team mate during the previous RB reign).

There's no sign of Ferrari or Mercedes catching them anytime soon either.

Whatever loophole that RB have found needs to be identified and shutdown, much like they did whenever previous cars found such a performance difference otherwise we have several years of dull racing ahead

I guess the problem for a lot of people is that we had 7 years of rule from Merc and all we've done is switch the team at the top who look ominously better than the rest after just a year. (Also after being promised that the new rules would make it all better...:o)

At least under Merc, Hamilton was kept on his toes by his team mate and it actually made for some racing drama

The simple answer here is “Checo”. With past dominant teams, often a teammate offered some resistance, which helped pad the points gap, but Perez has clearly missed something.

I can’t see them not swapping him out next year, so maybe we’ll see more competition then.
