Far better than Button and Alonso? That’s a stretch
Absolutely, only Nico beat him in car that dominated F1 for what was it 6 years ? Let’s not even go down the Russell stand in tyre change fiasco Sakhir in 2020 ! Anyhow all discussed argued banned and disagreed on many a past post.

Result as predicted ( wasn’t hard ) but hats off to the boys in red , put up a great scrap - enjoyed this one a good 7.5 out of 10 for me .

Congrats to Max and Red Bull. It’s history years later I’ll say I was there to witness it, but that doesn’t make it any less boring. I hope I don’t see this level of dominance ever again.

Sorry to say but you will in 2024 and 25 unless the other teams pull their finger out and catch RB.

I'm hoping Red Bull put someone competitive in the second seat

Unless they somehow manage McLaren to part with Lando Norris I just don't see who else is going to remotely challenge Max in that car, its certainly not going to be Ricciardo, Lawson or Tsunoda.

If Bernie was still in charge of F1 he'd probably be offering Red Bull some kind of incentive to get Alonso in the car or something!

I clicked six, but thinking about it I think I should have gone for eight.

There were battles throughout the race, and it managed to generate an exciting race without needing either rain or safety cars to mix things up.

Average race imo. Rated it a 5. Difficult to rate it much higher when the winner is a foregone conclusion. I so wish Red Bull had a teammate that could at least sort of challenge Max. Perez is just poor.

Reasonable result in the end for the Mercs. They were clearly the third fastest race car here. Hamilton had a bit of a dire weekend though. Bad qualy and that was a rookie error on Piastri. Once he gets going and the tyres in the window Lewis is still mega fast though. I was surprised he managed to pull the 5 sec gap he needed. Pretty solid performance from George.

All the while Max can win both championships on his own, there is no point swapping Perez out for someone better as it just rocks the boat. If another team/teams got close enough to win races then they have a problem.

Agreed , happened when Nico left Mercedes and the stool pigeon was Bottas . Whilst they have such a dominant car Checo will always be the number 2 , if that changed in the next few years then the line up might change .

Can you imagine the in team fighting if Carlos or Charles was given Checos ride !

Good racing. Only caught the ch4 highlights but that runs at 2.5hrs anyway lol

Sainz lasted a lot longer than I gave him credit but I just feel Max and RB were being overly arrogant and playing with him a bit. They know their car is so much faster they could get to halfway through the race and not be fussed about being P2. When do those RB wind tunnel penalties take effect again, lols.

As always, it’s great to see the racing through the field but it takes a massive shine off of the experience seeing Verstappen winning so easily again.

Edit: I’m not sure why people are hating on Perez after this race particularly. Yes he took his time getting past the Ferraris but he’s still p2 and only 6 (?) seconds behind Max.

The Red Bull isn't as quick on the straights as the Ferrari was although it seems listening to the pundits, etc that Ferrari basically brought a "Monza" spec car to the race so its not a huge surprise.
With you on Perez, he did what he would have been expected to do, get past the Ferrari's and finish 2nd
