Good job Hamilton didn't win that after the DSQ. That would have been brutal

Doesn't take much to see that unpleasant side of MV come out does it.

Great drives by LH and LN.
Scrappy from GR all weekend and obviously perez has to go

I don't get all the "unpleasant/horrible" Max stuff, when it was someone like Kimi swearing down the radio it was banter.

Perez has to go? He just had his best race in about 4 months.

Unusual way to get DSQ'd. Do they run the same plank for sprint and race?

Congratulations, Logan!

Planks are interchangeable/removable from floors. Whilst the skid blocks take most of the brute force from "skidding" along, the plank does wear and is therefore a somewhat disposable item. As long as they're not breaking parc fermé rules then can't see there being an issue - I know I've seen planks removed from cars when I used to visit races many moons ago, that was in previous regulation periods though (I'm old unfortunately).

It did look brutally bumpy in Hamilton's car on the driver cam shots, almost like it was with the porpoising.

Well that’s p2 sewn up for Checo in the WDC then. Gotta love yet more results changing drastically after the race. Yet another reason to ditch the dumbass sprint format - there is one thing in the world I agree with Max on

I said earlier in the thread it looked they were all driving down an LA freeway.

Sigh.

Kimi was always a man child as well but got away with it because of his soulless monotone Finnish accent.

Wah Wah, I don’t want to do interviews, your questions are stupid, I’m so special, Wah wah

Grow up lad, you get paid millions, you think the rest of the grid love doing interviews ? No, but they put their big boy pants on and get on with it without a fuss.

They really need to have rules about testing more cars when things like this happen. At the very least Russell's car should also have been pulled up.
Yer, I'm surprised they're not all checked - especially if one from the random sample has been shown to be in breach.

Do they take a sample of fuel from every car, or is that a random selection?

I wonder if the unusually good performance characteristics led to those particular cars being checked - maybe a message from one of the teams with a suspicion.

You can see what was scrutinised here.

I think they carry out additional checks on the top 3 cars. Might be wrong.

I’ve no doubt Horner was pointing out to everyone that would listen how low the Mercedes looked - if that’s what you mean :o

I would be interested to know the last time a RB plank was inspected, as above whether or not the top 3 get it by default. Edit: looks like Max’s was, but it’s not the top 3.

Believe the fuel check after race for consumption is also random. Not every car gets checked before and after.

Good job from Horner if he did - got to call out cheaters.

Agreed, although cars are probably being disassembled by that point.

If more teams were out of spec it could have been big points for the smaller teams.

Mercedes make mistake, Scam finds way to aim at Red Bull. Shouldn’t be allowed on the forums on a school night, he has too much sugar at the weekends.

Sigh, seriously though, it’s so boring… can’t have any actual discussions because of that sort of stuff.

Feel for Hamilton, felt he drove a great race and with a little better strategy could have challenged Max for the win. Always disappointing when something like this happens.

That's a fair point. Although I suppose with the plank you could require that they're all removed and passed to the stewards under observation and then they can scrutinise more if necessary, but you're right that - in general - it's not going to be logistically possible especially with another race next weekend.
