RBR have said from the beginning of the season that the other teams would catch up by the mid season break

Shame they've only had one car for the first half of the season while it was good.

Isn't it also down to their design approach? I remember reading that they feel that they've somewhat hit the ceiling with where they can go - vs. others that have gone in a slightly different route (discounting Merc's strange zero sidepods vision...)

McLaren Formula 1 Team has been fined €10,000.
The McLaren team representative admitted that the mechanic had misjudged the
situation and that the error belonged to the Team.
The Red Bull representative stressed that the mechanic should be focussing on the
movement of cars in the pit lane and the Stewards noted from the pit lane CCTV
video that in this case the focus appeared to be more on Car 81 than cars in pit lane.
Having noted precedents for this type of breach, the Stewards are of the view that
this breach warrants a more severe penalty than previously applied hence the penalty
above is imposed.
Oscar avoids any penalty himself.

People seem to be missing the fact that RBR are faster than last year; it’s just that other teams made bigger gains.
There was also talk of them changing some suspension on the rear, which has led to the car being unpredictable.

Was always going to be a longshot for Norris. But it's sport i suppose, anything can happen
The CFD and wind tunnel testing probably shows potential, but similar to Merc zero pod, it could be a flawed design that doesn’t translate to the track.

I don't think the driver's championship will slip away, as much as the others have caught up I still can't see Max fluffing up the lead, he's pumped out consistently high performances every race these last few years even if he has had the best car. The constructors on the other hand I think is going to change hands, Perez has just been a useless dead weight for them again this year. Who knows though, even just a single DNF will add massive pressure to Max, if he ends up in an elbows out battle again with a championship on the line you know things will get dicey.
It's been a welcome breath of fresh air at least, at the start of the year my motivation to watch was really low but the change in momentum has been very interesting to watch, the finish could get really exciting if something crazy happened, hopefully it's this competitive from the off next year.

I remember reading something since where they believe they could've salvaged something from the zero pod design as their biggest issues at the time were bouncing and the floor. I guess someone decided enough was enough and it was time to reduce the variables they needed to fix and they probably had a lot more knowledge of standard pod designs and the ones everyone else was running, so went back to that. I wish they'd been able to fix it as it was different. Albeit a bit ugly compared to the norm... Lol

Would have rathered see piastri or Russell on top step but I suppose it's good got the WDC.
Wonder if verstappen will start to get outwardly angry if RBR have dropped. Off so much and the points gap falls.

Max starts behind Hamilton today - Hamilton has absolutely nothing to lose this year (no title fight, changing teams already), it's very possible he puts his elbows out at the start of the race and Max makes a move expecting him to get out of the way and he doesn't.
I could easily see a DNF for Max
The joys of being in the pack at the start, especially at turn 1 at monza.
McLaren really need to hope they have sorted their start issue out and turn their good qualifying into result's, if they manage to get away in order it's a 1-2 finish for them, baring safety cars.

great finish to the F3 season, title decided on the final corner of the final lap!

Dramatic finish to the F3, a last corner overtake wins the championship for Fornaroli who takes the title without a single win to his name.
Lewis also has a poor record starting below the first first grid spots, especially when it comes to lap 1 incidents.
