Brilliant lol!

I missed it obviously. Did RB get the correct wing in the end?

Wonder if the McLaren’s are faster in race pace. C’mon where the maths again, how much higher does Lando need to finish to drag out the inevitable ? :p

Oh dear Perez lol
I'm begining to think he is the ideal driver for Red bull - he's going to cost them the constructors - but componsates for that with the sponsorship cash. They get more wind tunnel time for being lower down the table, that enables them to deliver a drivers championship winning car and they allow their nearest competitor to win the constructors, who then have less aero time and less of a chance of winning the drivers championship.

Or Perez is just rubbish.

So the story of Red Bull not bringing the correct rear wing was not true. They never actually allocated any budget to design a monza style rear wing, but during the qualy they had modified it enough for the car to be half decent. Max said he'd like this changed for following seasons so that they don't compromise themselves at tracks like Vegas and Monza.

Just caught the Youtube highlights - what happened on Hamiltons second run? It showed he ran wide on his first but looks like he bailed on the second too for some reason.

What the hell Lewis. Been fast all weekend and top in q2, and then ***** up TWICE in Q3.

He just doesn't seem to be able to do Q3 anymore.

Shame about Lewis. I haven’t seen any of it but sounds like he had some pace.

I don't see how (money aside) Red Bull can justify keeping Perez but I bet they will.....
Money rules F1 at the moment. RB are just making that abundantly clear. Plus they don’t like to upset the golden boy by having anyone anywhere near him…

Colapinto is probably testing the team’s patience already. Woops. Is he the new Seargant?

I really don’t understand the BBC coverage of F1. In an article about qualifying you would think they would show the times/result but no… instead we have to read some tedious summary from Andrew Benson on what happened.

Do Williams have a reserve driver? Seeing some suggestion that Colapinto may not be passed to race this weekend after a 50G crash (and well possibly no car I guess...) its unclear whether they are actually allowed to swap driver after qualifying anyway (Although I recall Paul di Resta raced in Hungary after Massa's Qualifying crash all those years ago).

He really did. Hadn't put a foot wrong all weekend and was looking to be almost certainly at least on the front row, either ahead of or behind George.

Then somehow he managed to flub BOTH of his times laps in Q3 :( Honestly, very poor at this level. Wrecking the first lap was bad enough, but to **** up the second one as well...

Sporting regulation 32.2 says a change of driver must occur before Quali but 32.5 gives the stewards discretion when a driver is unable to continue to drive - which they'd presumably grant. It's certainly implied that they're expected to in the wording.

I think Williams share their reserve with Merc, so Mick Schumacher would be the likely candidate - if he's in the US - but I'm not convinced Williams would want to risk putting a replacement in without any running given how many cars they've had to repair this season.
