Im sure someone will find a way! got my block for my 680 at my girlfriends studio ordered it from OC came quick, so tomorrow 680 will be going under waterchilled!

People need to back off of Top10 before i get knocked out!! :(

lol :D

Sweet. I never liked adding volts whilst it was on air but under water, temps are so good and with your chiller, I will be knocked off the 2nd spot :( Why I am helping you, I will never know :p

How would I improve Physics score gregster!! thanks for the link will read!

As gregster said you really need faster memory with tighter timings. Your using 32gb @2133mhz which makes ocing them a bit harder than using 16gbs.

If you talk to 8 Pack he will be able to help you though.

Fortunately the physics score does not effect the total score as much as it might appear.

Here is a link to a run of mine using a single GTX 680 (a GTX 690 with one core turned off)

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4940635

As you can see I have reached nearly 17000 on physics but your overal score beats mine out of sight.

To get the above CPU was @4.9ghz Mem @2400mhz 9-11-11-25 1T. But the bottom line is your GTX 680 beat mine by a mile.

Looking at the GPU scores, would it be safe to assume that CF 6870 is on par with a 7870 performance wise?

or doesn't it work that way?

In this benchmark yes

In games the 6870s could come unstuck with the lack of vram compared to the 7870. But yes where games don't need any more than 1gb of vram they are about equal in GPU muscle.

Yeah same, I just upped the clocks a little to put me back into the top 50 overall (even though I won't be able to reclaim my top 7950 GPU only spot :() I'll probably run it again today with iGPU disabled in the BIOS. It is annoying that 3DM11 can't easily recognise whether MVP is enabled.
How many volts are you putting though your 7950 core to get it over 1200mhz ?

Looks like I've found my limit with not being able to increase the vCore on my card past 1.35v.

Card is a MSI R7970 Lightning BE

Core clock 1347 MHz @ 1.35v
Memory Clock 1995 MHz @ 1.66v

Nice!!

You may want to dial the memory back a little, well, did it appear to stutter at any point durring the bench? As I would say 1995mhz is well in correction territory. Lowering it might even give you a slightly higher score ;)

You won't get the vcore higher then 1.35v without ABX, which you're not likely to get your hands on (trust me I searched long and hard, you will not find it :().

Give me a shout on steam too Gibbo, need to speak LTG waterblocks with you ;) - pgi947

Very nice score and goes to show the Lightnings are the cards to have. 4 Lightnings in the top 4 of the GFX scores only :p

It goes to show that the onboard of the new AMD chips are fairly decent.
