**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

Yes mate me too, that's why I spent £500 on some real nice soft astroturf. Stays lush green, soft and maintenance free all year

You get more than just red knees on that tho mate, I would have to enter the field of play padded up like an ice hockey player.

I use a 2600k and 2x 6870, nothing is overclocked and i got a 3dmark11 score on extreme of X2685 im not sure if this is a good score or not. I can smash dirt3 at 90-100 fps (according to fraps) so i guess thats all that matters eh?

Ok, so i did the test again on performance;

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6870 Crossfire
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600k @ 3.40GHz

SCORE: P7931

Graphics Score: 8127
Physics Score: 8057
Combined Score: 6592

Yes its a good score. If you compare your graphics score to the ones in the graphics section on page 1 nearly all the results there are oced GPUs.

If you post the 3dmark11 link gregster will put you on the results page.

So my second Samsung 830 128GB is up and running and after slapping 3DMark11 on it and doing a run there is no difference whatsoever in results :p

Moving on.. i installed Catalyst 12.7 (8.981.2.0 June 26) AMD Official BETA this morning and ran a few benchmarks on a fresh install of Win 7.. my 7950 seems to OC a bit more than before but not by too much. Got the core to 1160 (previously only got 1105) and memory up a lil at 1635 from 1625 but was starting to see slight artifacts in GPU Test 2.. still managed to get through it ok.

Heres my score with 2700K @ 5GHz..

Score
P9771 3DMarks

Graphics Score
9573
Physics Score
11263
Combined Score
9368

@ dave beast.. i ran a comparison with RAM at 1600 and 1866 and it seems the higher clocked RAM is giving me the extra points on the Physics Score :) Keeping my RAM at 1600 (8-8-8-24) for now as it seems more stable.

So which gives artifacts? Memory or core? I remember it used to be the memory but have since been told that the core OC'd too much gives artifacts now

usually the memory will give artifacts, if the core is too high you'll usually be greeted by a driver 'stopped responding' or 'device removed' error.

Give the memory voltage a push up to 1.65v in Afterburner ;)

My system memory at the moment is being just plain terrible, can't even get to post with the 4.75ghz clock I had earlier.

Cheers.. I'm using Trixx for overclocking as i cant use Afterburner without messing around with unlocking all the crap to get it to clock higher on core and volts. 1.65? wtf :D How do i unlock mem voltage cuz i dont see that option and.. my card is already hitting 75c as it is lolz

I'm thinking about getting the Zalman water cooler for my CPU so that less hot air is circulating inside the case.. I had a Corsair H80 for a few weeks (i noticed a slight GPU temp drop while using it) but the clicking was so annoying i got a refund.

You may need afterburner for the memory voltages, I'm not too clued up on Trixx.

Unlocking clocks and voltages on AB has never been easier than it is now...

Ok i just unlocked it (hates messing with volts :p ) now i see the little tab to adjust memory volts too. Hmm i duno if i should touch that hehe :)

Thing is how do i unlock the max clocks on core and memory? Or shall i just use Trixx for that. I'd rather use just one program for everything OC'd on the GPU though :)
