Gregster if you feel a bit uncomfortable with the best score in the single GPU table spare a thought for me. I wish some of the people with 4 GPUs and there are some on these forums would post their scores. Im a bit uncomfortable being 1st 2nd and 3rd in that table LOL.

Got two 690's here! If my board would have ran them, id of posted a score for reference.

A couple of 100 points between them, allthough the weaker of the two still does around the 20500 mark with my setup. Could do with upgrading to the socket 2011 really.

I was on the LN2 BIOS and using the F8 BIOS. I have got one of my cards flashed to the 80.04.28.00.3A as the F8 BIOS wouldn't work on my newer Lightning :confused: I have seen others report the same but I have not noticed any difference between the 2, so all cool :)

I am pretty sure I was over +170 and +620 on the single run to get that score. No way 24/7 stable though. I was very impressed with it and looking around, I seem to have won the chip lottery with the first card.

Top man Gregster thank you. In no way at all are you showing off, it's a lottery and most importantly, it's only a benchmark :). So if anyone got their knickers in a twist over you being creator and leader then they need to feel the warmth of sunshine once in a while.

That's a brilliant overclock even if a suicide run. I'll be trying to flash the F8 BIOS later and see what I can get with the little extra voltage. It's not over yet!!. Although I'm on air compared to your water but I'll kamikaze it for the thrill of the battle lol. I've read that some haven't been able to flash the F8 and the worry was that Nvidia have forced MSI even further than first though. I only read of people talking about it and didn't come across any directly. The 680 Lightning thread is massive but lots of information in there. The 80.04.28.00.3A is what BIOS my card came with for LN2 but I can't touch +170.

I'm hoping for some hidden potential on the new (old) BIOS and if that doesn't work, I still have my replacement coming for a second chance :D. I can't compete against the 6 cores for overall score but I've got a chance with the GPU scores at least. Thank you for giving the GPU scores it's own section. Now I wonder what BIOS this card will be able to take. I'll report back later with an update and also hopefully with a new graphics score :p.
 
Cheers JD :) I used the 304.79 drivers for that suicide run and my card was on air ;) I am still waiting for my waterblocks to arrive but I also have been following the MSI 680 LTG thread and I will be pushing higher volts when the blocks are finaly here.

As for the GPU scores, I should have done those as priority rather than a sub section, as this is the Graphics card section of OcUK but all good. I hear that the new AMD drivers have vast improvements in 3DMark11, so I will be keeping a close eye on those dirty people :D

Most welcome and well earned with sweating as the benchmark completed :D. I might give those drivers a bash before I flash to see if they give me a boost. On air :eek: sweet, gives me hope. Oh when you get the waterblocks there will be no more competing on my behalf lol.

I hear you on the graphics section, I didn't even think about it to be honest but you make sense. Regardless, it's perfect how it is. Yeah I've just went over the benchmarks of the new drivers. I'm not sad I went with Nvidia though. I wanted 3D and it's good to see the mighty AMD driver team pull an ace out of their sleeve. Nvidia just threaten, bribe and bully from my experience. Well they might not have bribed Microsoft for the DX10 spec but something underhanded went down :D. <- Sorry off topic/

Here, here!. Sadly, after the AMD driver announcement. It won't be me trying to take Gregster's score, it will be a 12.11 AMD'er :D.
 
Meh!!! Just got an email from a guy where I ordered my AquaGFX LTG blocks from saying they expect stock to be available in 10-14 days. If this is the case, I am cancelling and will go for the EK blocks...I am 2 weeks off work now with nothing to do :(

Yep they do but I don't mind the EK and I can get them tomorrow. I am fed up of waiting and I will await the reply from where I have them ordered. I ordered and paid for them on the 1st and this will take over a month to get.

I am not a happy bunny :(
