**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

Impressive. The rig in my sig with 12.8 and a single 7970 at 1150/1450 = a 1393 increase in the graphics score !

i'll just leave this here for you gregster...

The best part is that was a rough run, CPU still to take back to 5ghz and hopefully a core increase on the 7970.

P.S. TOP SPOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Impressive guys and nicely done :)

Good to see AMD stopped dragging their asses and finaly caught up :p

You do know you can turn one of your cards off by the switches on your mobo?

I do now :D

Sorry my new name is Chicken :p

lol As soon as Gregster pips you it will awaken a monster :D.

Thanks Neil :)

Twice I bombed out at 5GHZ on the CPU test and again at 4.85GHZ. I need to do some tweaking and turn my pump up to full for the 5GHZ tests. Temps would be too high is my guess but Happy to take the GFX crown back :)

JD, I don't think I will be testing on a single card as it is a PITA taking the other card out (adds stability this way). My next push will be when the cards eventually get the water blocks. What was your Value on art money? I tried several from 190 (crazy temps) and my succesful run was 165 (still hit 85C on one of my cards.

Edit: I may cheat and buy a crappy 5400rpm drive and load 3Dmark11 onto that, as this will give the GPUs chance to cool down in between loading :D Having it on a SSD is doing me no favours lol

And Thankyou for the compliment :)

The fine tuning can be a nightmare. I hate sitting there worried that the Physics or Combined tests are going to fail after passing the GPU tests. You'll get there eventually, just takes lots of cups of hot drinks, something to keep you occupied in between runs and nothing to get up in the morning for (your time off).

Ah fair enough on not wanting to take the card out and that is why you'll be getting as high temps at lower clocks. I should have thought of that. Yeah if you can't be bothered taking one out I don't think you're going to see the gains that I am until they can get the right heat dissipation.

270 was the highest value I put in Artmoney. That was trying to get 1437Mhz stable but I backed off after talking with you lads :). Otherwise it's down at 255 always 100% fan on benching. I was hitting 85'C at one point but last runs have been @ 80-81'C.

Doomed, DOOMED I TELL YOU!!!. Pgi947, Stonerdude and Locky will be all over my gfx score :(. I'm happy for you all but, but, but the crown was just beginning to be comfortable :(.

Edit: and look at that???. Pgi947 and the others are gonna whoop my score now :D. Congrats Pgi947, amazing score.

Just wait till the end of the week, have forcast of snow with temps around -5c, should lower the ambient enough to push everything to the maximum for one last destructive run ;)

I still NEED MOAR VOLTS!!!

I wonder if Nvidia are starting to wonder how different this could have been had they released the 'real' 680?

Doubt they care too much. If rumours are to be believed we'll be talking next gen in less than 6 months time. I would imagine most of the sales are made already on this range of graphics cards.

That said, with these new drivers and the aggressive pricing from AMD along with the free game marketing AMD should clean up completely.

Funny thing is, if the 'real' 680 was ready for release in February and they did release it, they could have priced it at slightly higher than a 7970 and still cleaned up. People will pay more for nVidia cards even when they're even or the gap is small so a better performing card would still have sold well.

Then the 670 could have been the high end GK104 with the scaling down from there.

I hope they do. I didn't mind losing one bench and winning another but to lose both is devastating.

Doesn't really bother me - in the games I play I get good performance. I probably would get slightly better performance with a pair of 7970's in Eyefinity but I know that I'm still hitting a big fat GPU wall anyway so averages from say 90 to 95 make no difference to me.

Quick update, gotta wait for a colder night to get max clocks for single card...
Still managed to get third fastest 7970 and 6th place overall for single card.

Crossfire was a little disappointing though, i am on 12.9 CAPs that could be the reason? I did see 12.10 CAPs just didn't download them.

Don't know how long i'll be in top10 though, should scrape a few extra points on my max clocks though.

Nice score. If you overclock the CPU a little more you'll push up on that "physics" and "combined" scores.

I used the beta drivers you got the 12691 gfx score Greg. Hoping to break 13k and I'm so close :).

Scores updated and nicely done :) Big improvements and I expect to be swapping scores about for quite a while.

Nice going and very nice GFX score :) you can do it.

Within touching distance,
if you get up at 4am you should do it :D

Something I was looking at today

I normally have my screen resolution set to 1600p, but for a change I set it to 1080p before starting 3Dmark11. What I noticed is it seemed to give me a few more points on the graphics score. It may have been a complete fluke or something else going on.

Thank you Gregster and also for how often you've been updating the scores.

I done it!!!.

That's me done for now. Cuppa and some BF3 time. Clocked back to 4.2Ghz and card will run at 1333Mhz in game @ +93mV in Afterburner. ArtMoney is for benching only :).

What was the final voltage to pass 1300?

I think I can quite happily say I'll not be beating you :p
