WEll I installed the beta drivers. Did not install any AB/iturbo etc. Ran Heaven and Lockup. Reset to reboot.

What is going on, These cards dont seem to like custon Bios.

Strange its worked for everyone else. Just stick with the stock bios and use the power limit hack to set the power limit to +35% then. Just remember you'll have to re-do the power limit hack for each new driver install.

I expect there's a PEBKAC issue here but i have no idea what.

Sorry to be a pain LtMatt but could you check with Kaboom (or point me in his direction) if the bios would work on the HiS iceq x2 7950 boost version of this card.

I think i've asked before but my memory is not that great (sorry).

Or do you think i'd be safe enough to try it anyway? i can allways flick back to the default bios i guess if it goes wrong :)

I bought one of the iceq 7950's on offer yesterday so ill be flashing that but it would be nice to lower the voltage on both as i imagine it is going to raise my temps when i have 2 in my case.

I couldn't get any of the boost bios's to work with this card, it would flash no problem, and would still work but all the readable BIOS information was garbage (Didn't need to switch the BIOS switch to re-flash though).

If you come across a working BIOS for the x2 I'd be interested thanks (at the moment I'm just using Trixx to force voltage down which seems to work fine) :)

Either make your own with RBE7, or send me your bios(dump it with gpu-z) with clocks/voltage required and I'll unboost it for you.

@Clairvoyant,

You also need to do a cleensweep of your drivers too, I used to have similar problems your seeing on W8 and W7 until I used DDU(pick the top option):

Ok, I unistalled everything, rebooted used DDU, rebooted win 8 to safemode. Used DDU. I reinstalled just the Beta Drivers and ran Heaven.

It crashed with this error (did not hard lock the PC this time).

Unigine fatal error

I'm stumped sorry mate. Give me a copy of your stock bios and ill ask Kaboom to take a look at it and see if theres any difference. Flick both cards back to switch 2. Reboot and use gpu-z to share your bios.

Try it. The only reason it might not work is if the card you have has different memory timings. If your card has Hynix ram it won't work. It won't hurt to try though as you have a spare bios. Just be sure to backup your working bios first so you can flash it back afterwards if needed.

If it doesn't work you'll need to ask Kaboom to create you one using your stock bios.

Thanks LtMatt, think i'll get him to make me a bios, should i just use gpu-z to download my stock bios and send it to him with a nice request? :P

Yep just post in the thread and include your gpu-z bios. :)

Best to just ask him for stock clocks 925/1250 @1.175v and with boost removed with the stock TDP limit increase. Have a nice stock bios then you can add or decrease voltage as needed as well as core/memory clocks.

Just a quick one...

Has anyone else had the sticker peel of their cooler? It's happened AGAIN to the replacement card I got, only a visual annoyance but still annoying all the same! Tried pushing it back on and it just peels back off again, it's held on by a small part in the middle. Not sure whether to just peel it off and be done with it.

I've just flashed my card following LtMatt's guide and I'm now getting lower results using the Unigine Heaven benchmark. I originally clocked it using MSI Afterburner to 1100 and 1500 and scored 909. After flashing and again setting at 1100 and 1500 I can't get more than 862. I've also had to increase the stock voltage from 1175 to 1200. I can't recall changing it before I flashed the card.

I've also tried increasing the core clock to 1225 but the benchmark keeps crashing. Any ideas?

Yes, the sticker on the top card in my crossfire pair keeps coming away. Seems to be low quality adhesive or sensitive to heat (which would make it a poor choice for a graphics card sticker tbh :p).

I'm planning on taking it off and putting it in the box.
