LT; What driver version should I be using? GPU-z is currently showing
atiumdag 13.200.16.0(Catalyst13.11)/Win7 64

And Bios Version
0.15.023.000.002.000000(113-SV5G01-005)

I'm having some issues with the PC stuttering and I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to try next :(

This is with stock core voltage of 1.175v is it? Looks like you have some stinky ram. You can always try increase the memory voltage.

Yep that's right, made some graphs to show my results, overclocking the core at least moves my scores up a bit lol!

Firstly we can see that upping my RAM Mhz does little to nothing, and sometimes even gets me a lower score.

Next, we can see that upping the Core clock does help. However I had problems benching at 1075 with the default 1.175V - 3D Mark crashed out with an error.

Benching at higher core rates meant upping the voltage more, I capped out at 1150 on 1.25V.

I did try upping the RAM to 1300 after running the core at 1075/1100 but the score again went down, so I am really thinking that my RAM is just awful or something lol or I am doing something else wrong here.

I upped the RAM voltage from 1600 to 1606, it seems small steps here are recommended as you can kill your card RAM for good if you put too much through it. No noticeable difference with the voltage upped a little.

Remember my post saying (after I flashed) AB saying 1.150v 925/1250. I thought I will reinstall Windows 8 to see if it will sort it out.

Guess what.

Nope AB is still showing 1.150v No clue why.

:D

Did you read the OP? Is your card throttling?

Interesting results. How far did you go on the vram voltage? I imagine at least 1.625v will be perfectly safe for 24/7. I go up to 1.675v when benchmarking.

I'll try one of your custom BIOS's with the 1000/1400 OC when I'm back from work tonight.

NO!

Those other bios are old and suck balls in comparison. Use this one taken from the OP.

New bios for testing:

925/1250MHz Non Boost 1.175v -INCREASED TDP FROM 130W TO 173W-CrossFire users-ulps can now remain enabled with no performance loss!!!

This is a new bios that Matt and myself have been testing, further feedback welcome-especially if you are running CrossFire.

Matt's found you can overclock further before you need the power limit.

My own testing has achieved slightly lower voltage for my 24/7 clocks:

Before-1100/[email protected] +30% Power Limit

Using this bios-1100/[email protected] no Power Limit adjustment required.

Uh oh... it's a shame all this good information has been diluted amongst the 29 pages... I have tried to keep up with it but its a steep learning curve for me... Thanks for your help, I'll keep you posted :)

OK I've done that LT with I'll see how that goes.

Kind of daunting flashing BIOS's using command prompts. never done anything like that before. Thanks for the awesome step by step guide :)

Good man. The step by step guide makes it child's play. Daunting at first ill agree. The first time i did it i bricked both my cards (6950's), luckily after getting a cheap pci card on ebay i was able to unbrick my cards and i went from there. Now i flash my gpus and my next door neighbours in the morning without batting an eyelid.

LtMatt, I have flashed to an older Bios, and back to the new one. But AB doesnt seem to want to show 1.175v 1100/1500. It shows 1.150 925/1250, I change it but when I reboot PC its back to 1.150 925/1250.

I uninstall AB. Rivatuner, Drivers run Driver fusion.

I just dont know whats going on.

Its like its stock Bios, its switch one. (could my switch be different from normal). lol
