Lol i don't want back in. My 7990 ridicules my 7950 setup on sound, looks, size and performance. :D

However ill still help out fellow AMD brethren where possible. :p

Is it that much quieter?
Looks is down to personal taste, I'd probably agree that it's better though, although I do like blower coolers, in theory at least.
size, there's only about 1 inch in it isn't there? And that's if you're just comparing 1 7950 to the 7990, 2 7950s are bigger than 1 7990!
Performance, guess it depends how you define 'ridicule'!

Lol, i say it in jest. Stock for stock there's about 15-17.5% difference in performance though. Minimums up on the 7990. 7990 runs at similar temps to my 7950's at 1125/1575 and is as fast, if not faster. It also runs considerably quieter. As for size difference...


Rusty says size doesn't matter, i beg to differ.

I think Matt already re-homed them mate, this is prob an old pic.

There might be 2 going here because I'm going 290's Crossfired in the new year, just waiting to see how Mantle pans out.

I've done that (although I'm keeping my 7950s).
Based on Heaven 4 scores the 290s are about 50% faster than my 7950s (both at factory speeds).

Oh nice, could you let me know when you do sell them as ill be very interested in one
 
Is it possible to crossfire the 7950 with one of the newer R series cards? Also the amd display driver crashes when not using Afterburner on an OC 7950 with matt bios. Is this normal?
