Yes i can slow the fan speed down for you in you want. Upload your bios to send space and tell me how quiet/ what fan speed percentage you want it at certain temps.

Lol i don't want back in. My 7990 ridicules my 7950 setup on sound, looks, size and performance.

Looks is down to personal taste, I'd probably agree that it's better though, although I do like blower coolers, in theory at least.
size, there's only about 1 inch in it isn't there? And that's if you're just comparing 1 7950 to the 7990, 2 7950s are bigger than 1 7990!
Performance, guess it depends how you define 'ridicule'!

Lol, i say it in jest. Stock for stock there's about 15-17.5% difference in performance though. Minimums up on the 7990. 7990 runs at similar temps to my 7950's at 1125/1575 and is as fast, if not faster. It also runs considerably quieter. As for size difference...

I've done that (although I'm keeping my 7950s).
Based on Heaven 4 scores the 290s are about 50% faster than my 7950s (both at factory speeds).

Not sure how real games compare with this though. My BF4 framerates are all over the place on both systems so hard to compare.
290(X) vs 7950 clock for clock:
Hitman AB-290X ~51% avg faster.
Sleeping Dogs-290X ~47% avg faster.
Tomb Raider-290X ~48% avg faster.
BioShock Infinite-290X ~29% avg faster.

Is everyone using Matts bios? Think I may try flashing mine sometime. Getting a lot of screen tear on BF4?

yep im using it on both my cards only thing i did was edit the aggressive fan profile back down to normal

Yeah, the fan profile is a bit aggressive, but still doesn't get that loud and I like the cards running cool.

i use the original i got no issues and clocks higher than matt ever did
I am hoping it fixes the voltage spiking seen in afterburner. And also the tearing in bf4 but that just seems worse in the latest 13.12 drivers.
