**Official ABIT IP-35 Pro Review/Overclock/Guide Thread**

I've no probs with it either, and I regularly plug out cables to pull out the case and plug back in again, often using a different port, never a problem. Good luck sorting it out, good news is that ethernet cards are cheap :/

I'm having the same problems i v had to plug the router in to the other port to get connected ,and lately I'm getting random connection messages. iv read somewhere that others with this board bought a pci card to get round this

major problems with my board lately, wont post anymore well sometimes it will say 2 out of 50 attempts... getting 8.E. and C1 errors when trying to boot.

memory is fine, done multiple checks
gfx is fine
cpu is fine

i don't think the board is shorting out as it used to be fine.

very strange, my psu is a coolermaster real power 850watt

any suggestions?

Did you do anything before these errors (change bios etc) started or was it just a fault that occurred on it's own? The fact that it's not even posting sounds serious though.

I'd start by rebuilding it out of the case. Just cpu, memory. gfx. Nothing else and see if it posts.

Here's a new BIOS compilation, this one with an updated JMicron JMB363 storage controller option ROM. Sorry for taking so long to update it.

Download the BIOS compilation

I highly suggest you do not use any BIOS older than 14, but I've included them if you absolutely need to run an older version for whatever reason. Flash at your own risk. I've personally tested 18ZZZ only. There's very little chance of failure for other versions, however. Worst thing that'll happen is some option ROM throws an error, in which case you flash back to a stock BIOS and post here so I can figure out why and possibly correct it (or put in an older working version of that option ROM instead).

If you do not require the PXE ROM to display its "press Shift+F10 to configure..." message twice after the Intel AHCI OROM's initialization message during boot up, go to the CMOS setup screen, then Integrated Peripherals, then Onboard PCI Device, and set - Invoke Boot Agent to Disabled for both Network Controller 1 and Network Controller 2.

If for some reason you require a beta BIOS version available from the lejabeach website updated, please send me a PM.

Any recommendations for graphics cards for the Abit IP35 Pro with BIOS updated to 16? I need a specific card from a manufacturer that's known to work in it. I hear the 7870 might be a good option, but I'd like a specific manufacturer if that's the card to go with.

A blast from the past!

I have an old HD5870 in my wife's pc which has this venerable board in it now. Never had an issue with it really. It had a 4870 previous to that... Realistically the board should take any PCI-E card but it is only ver. 1.0 so the fastest cards would be a little hamstrung by it. I'm not sure if any card *requires* ver 2.0+, I don't think so...

EDIT: I need to change my sig :p

Looking through signatures I'm narrowing it down to:

GIGABYTE GV-R787OC-2GD HD 7870 GHz Edition
EVGA GTX 660 2GB

The EVGA card has a bunch of different results here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...=EVGA+GTX+660+2GB&rh=i:aps,k:EVGA+GTX+660+2GB

And the sig I got that from doesn't identify which one.

Both are listed as working with BIOS 16, so hopefully I won't have to return another card as not working with the board, as I did last year.
