**Official ABIT IP-35 Pro Review/Overclock/Guide Thread**

:( Kinda glad I picked up an IP35 PRO XE off OCUK b-grade not long ago for only 45.99, will be my last Abit motherboard and something to remember them by! Hope it doesnt break though ha.

hi guys this a ?for NTL123 i have just put a system together similar to yours , ip pro xe ,e8500 , ocz reaper ram and sapphire 4850 , any advice on overclocking this system ;)

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but I just got this board and I need the Gigabit LAN Driver for it. I tried the link that posted in this thread but it requires a username and a password.

Also, I can't see in my device manager my onboard network card. Is it that I need to fresh install of everything? It's just the ethernet port that I can't cant access to.
I can't connect to internet D: Help please.

Well for me mate, my system doesn't detect any onboard network card. I don't see anything in the device manager. Also, have you done some changes in the BIOS? Also, in the CD provided it doesn't seem to have the LAN driver in it.

And so, I'm requesting for a download link for the LAN driver of this mobo.

Thanks.

Okay, but yesterday I tried to connect the ethernet cable in my system it din't do anything. It won't connect me to the internet. Well I haven't tried it again. Currently I'm stressing my little dark horse to check if my OC is stable.

BTW, have done any changes in the BIOS regarding I394 or something? What I did was enabled it all.

if it hasnt detected it in device manager, lan drivers arent going to help.
personaly i would say you have a buggered mobo. with abit going out of business god knows..

tell you what you can try, go into your bios options make sure they are both turned on, excuses if you arent nooby like that. also to check if it is the port that is buggered, try and lan boot from it. with my experiance i have found only 1 lan port can lan boot ( the one that works for me) the other once doesnt + doesnt get found in device manager..

all i can sudjest really is buy a cheap 5quid network card?

abit.com have a lan driver version 686 it might be your answer .also my pc was turned off by some one else wrongly and my lan would not work saying that it was unplugged and i had to plug it into the second port , there seems to be a problem with lans on this board if you goggle it .

Okay problem resolved, it was due to my board being faulty.

Now, I want to check a few things before I update my mobo's BIOS. Currently at BIOS 16 and I want to flash it to BIOS 17.

I've read the guide on how to flash the BIOS and planning to do it using a USB stick, but I get confused with the step on typing into DOS. Is that even necessary or after I've put the USB it will do all the job for me?

Can anyone help me by making a step by step guide on how to flash the BIOS?

Sorry, but this is my first time to flash a BIOS of any mobo.

Okay, so basically after I've rebooted with the USB it will do all the work for me?

Here what I think I need to do:

1. Clear the CMOS to set it to stock.
2. Download the HP tool and install it.
3. Download the BIOS files and put it on the root of the USB stick.
4. Set the BIOS to allow the USB stick as a first boot device.
5. Save the CMOS setting.
6. Allow to boot via USB.
7. Allow the BIOS to finish?

So, after step 6 all I need to do is wait for the BIOS flash to finish?

Sorry I'm so newb!
