We can only see how this will improve queue times tonight. I suspect this should cut queue times by at least half but I want queues to be no longer that 1h. Anything over 1h makes the game unplayable during rush hours.
Well they are kind of limited in what they can do during launch. It will have queues, particularly this "first" weekend.
They cant just keep raising the cap, because the servers will suffer from lag and crash.
Theres no point in adding new servers, because as has been evidenced in the past in MMOs, people wont move to the new servers anyway. They will sit on their current server and expect everyone else to move. Then there is always the danger that you will end up with half empty servers after people quit when the free 30 days is up, and we all saw how much damage empty servers did in WAR.
Once the initial rush of release is over, the queues will die down, just as they did in past MMOs which had queues on release.
For the time being all I can suggest is either put up with the queues til the release rush is over, or play on a different server..as I say, I've barely had queues on our server..but I understand that the insanely populated servers have had big queues (as you'd expect). Or..alternatively, and this is what people in our guild are doing, if the queue is 90 mins long, log in 90mins before you are planning to play and then it will be ready when you are.
Once the rush is over, the queues will quieten down.
