I'm guessing there is some confusion about the start time. I cant remember what time the game starts for retail accounts today. Probably 5pm or something

EDIT : Yeah, here we go..

For Europe:
Friday, September 25th
12:00pm PST
3:00pm EST
8:00pm GMT

I'll wager you will be able to log on at 8pm. Though as you had a preorder, I am a little perplexed why its taking your account time as being from today. You havent been playing in your Grace Period have you? (for those people who bought a preorder after the headstart date)

Hello there :)

Thanks for the info tombstone, well i am gonna try and get in later on, i pre-ordered in july and played the beta weekends and had a chance at the 2 day head start but due to numbers trying to logg in and quing i gave up until today :(

Hoping that increasing the server caps and a new server opening this weekend that things will get easier :D

Mind you...thats odd, as you preordered back in july (same time I did), you should be able to play right now. (although I did preorder direct with ncsoft, so maybe that accounts for something)

I'm expecting a very rough weekend for those logging in though, first MMO weekends are nearly always a mess :) , the new server wont make much difference for the currently existing servers because if the past is any indication hardly anybody on the current servers will actually be willing to move onto the new server to play. (they'll sit in their queue instead and hope that other people do the move for them).

Course its even worse if you are on one of the mega population servers like Spatalos and Perenthewhateveritscalled!

I pre-ordered from an online retail store (not direct download like Steam, NCSoft, etc) and have been playing the pre-order headstart just fine.

UltraDad, have you actually loaded up the game and tried logging in there?

Is anyone having problems getting onto NC master account pages? Just loads white pages for me :/

Same here, I suspect it's simply getting overloaded with people returning from work and loading up the site to apply codes etc to get their game time going from retail copies :)

hokay this might sound like a stupid question but here goes, I have the collectors edition, I upgraded my pre order to it, now the items that the collector edition gives, do i have to apply them to a character? and if so do i only get to choose one to get the stuff? Im a bit confused :S

What server are you on tombstone? was it asmo on gorgos?

Not sure about the CE items, as I only have a standard. But I was able to apply my preorder items to all my characters. So I guess its the same for CE stuff.

Yup, asmo on Gorgos.

Read this on how to apply the CE items to your characters...

http://uk.aiononline.com/board/notices/view?articleID=99&page=

You can apply them an unlimited number of times but only once for each character that you create. Hopefully that doesn't sound confusing :)

I'll bet that's either Spatalos or Perento. Either way that's much better than the 7 - 8 hours the other day. Seems like the 30min limit on shops is really making a difference here.

Gorgos and Castor = Instant :)

Yep m8 im on spatalos.

Mainly asking people who used the head start here as they should be at the slightly higher levels now if they have been playing much.

What is the general impression of the game that you have?

I pre-ordered, had access to the head start (after taking part in 2 of the Beta weekends) but to be honest after really sitting down and playing the game it has really failed to grab my attention.

It doesnt help that I have recently cross faction transferred on WoW to play with a good friend which has gotten me back in to the game a little but I just found Aion quite uninspiring. Main disapointment was the graphics, they were really talked about but I found that they are actually quite average. Characters and other important features are well done but everything else is generally quite shoddy (this is running the game on top spec) whilst WoW graphics are basic they use what they have and implement it well, I found the implementation of much better (potential) graphic quality in Aion to be disapointing.

However the main thing which has put me off somewhat is hearing that the endgame will be a lot more like "old school" MMO's with a lot of people mentioning similarity to Vanilla WoW in that you have to hammer in a lot of play time to get the rewards. This was great for me at the time of Vanilla WoW and I really enjoyed it but as Im a lot older with a lot more commitments I do not particularly fancy playing a game when I will either have to dedicate my life to it to have ahalf decent chance at not getting steam rolled in the PvP, or be a casual player I am and spend my game time getting slapped around by those with much better gear.

Essentially I am asking is there much room for casual players in the endgame? I know not many (if any) people will have reached the higher levels yet but what is the impression that you get of the highest level content? Whilst WoW has become a bit too simple at least I can play this game an hour or two every few days and still get some decent rewards for my efforts, going back to a Vanilla WoW-esque reward system at my age makes me shudder :p
