Very true mate but I loved WoW (3 years), City of Heroes (lol) and Age of Conan so should like it if its decent!
Ever get the chance to play Daoc? If you liked that then I would say you will probably like Aion.
Aion has got a grind to it and its got a lot of emphasis on PvP, but its fun

No mate though I had heard of it and good things, I definately enjoyed the days of PvP on WoW (2006) and almost made warlord (until I got threatened with being dumped lol) so Aion sounds right up my street!
I take you guys all play on the same server? If my pc arrives and I get it built by next weekend, I'll probably drop in!

Comparing it to DAOC is spot on imo.
I like that it's more of a return to older MMOs in terms of it taking a little longer to level up. Hated how rushed the levels in WoW felt, there was no sense of accomplishment for ages!
Forgot what big launches are like queue wise, 50min wait
I actually had to grind mobs to get from 18 to 20. Last game i did that in was DAoC, hammering the hib shredders in df hours on end. Sounds boring but had some great times. Looking forward to when im more involved in pvp, only 22 at the mo.

Anyone can confirm you can no longer use the mouse to point and click to move your toon, you could in Beta.

You can use either method. Theres a toggle in the options for click to move.

I've not PVP'd in Aion, however, if you've PvP'd in WoW extensively (and if you reached Rank 12 you probably have) you'll find Aion's control and camera system very unusual. You don't give it a second thought in WoW because it's fairly fluid and natural, but you'll notice Aion feels "somewhat clunky" I'd suspect, especially if you're the "circle-strafing" melee type.
Maybe it's just me that uses a bizarre control method! Hopefully they'll make it a bit more customizable soon though...
Just hit 10 and ascended to an assassin. Took me 3 and a half hours /played time. I have a feeling it's going to get very slow soon though. 
So far I'm enjoying the game. I'll be playing more tomorrow and can hopefully push on in terms of leveling.

The OCUK guild is on which side on spatalos ? sorry if this has been asked hundreds of times
