So what will be the eventual solution for all the queues?

Have been getting into the game a little more and want to play on Spata with the OcUK guild which I signed up for but the queues are a nightmare.

Will they eventually create more servers or increase the server pop? What would be the actual solution for this problem?

This is quite possibly the worst purchased anyone could ever make. Pay for a game you can't play, and nobody will give a refund. So it's either swallow it or take legal action, which isn't worth it. So.... I won't ever be pre-ordering a game again.

well our Legion has 12 members now and im the only one playing Assassin and Spiritmaster .. so yes your right to a degree :p ..

thing is there will be times were its a big problem, for example you could have 6 rangers grouped and they can still function 100%, you could have 6 Sorcerers and they can still use all their skills , 6 Templers etc etc .. but 6 Spiritmasters and 5 cant use 40% of their skills .. seems they messed that up.

I would quite happily put my mixed class group against a group that consists of all the same class of any class :)

Well more servers wouldnt do any good, because on the busy servers people wont move anyway, they will just sit on the same server and expect other people to move instead. It happened in wow and war, and we have already seen in the headstart that people refused to move off busy servers, instead they sat in the queue hoping others would.

Personally i think they might up the caps a little, but only they can know how close to max they already are.

The other alternative would be to weather it, the queues were always going to be bad for the first couple of weeks, same as so many other major mmos. Just like those, the number of people playing simultaneously will drop as the launch period rush fades. Plus quite a few people will find the grind and pvp isnt to their liking ane leave

Yeah , whatever. I can think of several mmos with worse launches, but apart from that are you telling us that you are never going to preorder any game ever again?

So for instance you will never preorder diablo 3? or half life 3? or starcraft 2?

Talk about over reacting.

Problem is too many people comparing WoW to this - did you actually play WoW in the beginning with all the bugs it was released with? rubber banding was a pain back then and happened all the time, not to mention being fired at by enemy npc casters and running (too many of them) only for shadow bolts to still be hitting you when you half the map away.

WoW basically rebuilt the MMO genre and brought way more people into it that otherwise wouldnt have bothered - when something new comes out that gets good press, a lot of people will be trying it out!

See thats the thing. I was there on Day One of WoW..I even still remember the day clearly, Nov 24th 2004. We rolled on Bleeding Hollow, along with an awful lot of ex daoc guilds (bad idea), the queues were enormous. Ran into the hours of queuing. When the server did come up, the infamous loot bug was running rampant (where you bent down to pick up loot and it just froze and the only way to get out of it was to exit the game).

Ask many WoW players now about those queues and a lot of them wont even remember them , or even the loot bug which was so prevalent in those early days. Yet here we are today with many declaring WoW to be the best MMO ever and it having gazintybillion subscribers. Which just goes to show that if a game is good fun to play, people soon forget about the initial launch problems and go on to enjoy the game.

Just LOL...I really really wonder whats going in these peoples heads. Legal action for the win..oh wait i dont have 1oz of leg to stand on nvm :D:p

I fell asleep waiting in the queue last night. :(

Going to play right now as I've woken up nice and early! I'll be damned if there are any queues at 7am!

The queue will probably die down when the free gameplay time will elapse, many people will not find this game to their taste and get back to their old game. I must say I prefer the approach of NCsoft, instead of the one done on Warhammer, where they opened lots of new servers to find them completly empty after the first month ended. I just don't really undertsand the maximum queue size, I mean if you put a queue why have a max size? but I don't really care anyway

What level did you all have upgraded armor at? I'm level 13 at the moment and I still die from time to time if I don't pick my fights carefully.

What manastones/gear should I be looking at as an assassin? Anything with lots of evasion?

also Spiritmasters, what do you think of the problems faced when grouping with other SM's ? ie if a target already has DoTs from one of us the other SM's cant use those skills !! no stackable DoTs as they class them as debuffs :( .. grouping will become a problem

This is a bit of a suprise. I assumed that SM dots would be issued per caster and stack (within reason), it does kinda of negate the majority of our spells if more then one SM is in a group (or zerg).

you want crit stones, lots and lots and lots of them.. stack as much physical crit stone as possible

atm i use two frozen daggers as they both have +100 crit where as swords only have +50 and slightly higher DMG.

im level 18 and against same level mobs after using my buffs 'killers eye' and 'devotion' , attacking with suprise strike II ive crit for over 1k a few times ..

Then I want my Clerics HoTs (heal over time) to stack too. Currently my HoTs not only do not stack with other Clerics HoTs, but they also dont stack with Chanters HoTs either. So there are 2 classes that my HoTs dont stack with :)

well that would be nice, but they are buffs and therefore dont stack ...

Spiritmasters attack skills are mainly DoTs which are classed as 'buff's which is completely wrong... afterall Assassins rune carvings apparantly stack on targets and they do tons more damage and also stun !

without the use of our skills we basically rely on a pet for DPS  once the pet is dead were practically fubar !

I am really loving this game at the moment....I feel that an MMOPRG has come along that since EQ/EQ2 is worth being in my life! :)

Level 16 Gladiator at the moment....

True...I would say that if you were in my group you wouldnt be fubar as I would heal you , but to be honest if I had to concentrate my healing on someone during PvP the SM would be pretty low on my list of healing targets :)

Maybe they will make them stackable, although as I say I've never had 2 SMs in a group, only had 1 SM once. In an alliance group I suppose you would have more than 1 SM, but of course the very nature of alliances means that you wouldnt have the multiple SMs hitting the same target anyway.

Nevertheless, hopefully they will make them stackable for SMs anyway. (and HoTs for me :D )

Thanks for that mate. Guess I'm going to have to save up my cash and get a few stones. Also, those Black Claw mobs absolutely wreck me if I've not got full health. :(

Any legions on Castor recruiting? Would be nice to have a few people to talk to! (Asmodian)
