**Official** Aion RELEASE Thread

How are populations holding up? I've heard they are dropping off sharply on some realms, what really annoys me about this game is that I think i'd really like the endgame if I could just get there.

Big patch that, played this on release for a month and cancelled my sub.

Ive started LOTR online tonight so ill see how that goes.

Is this game worth another look im not sure?

I'd wait until the servers are patched and then see how much the game improves... Lotro is a more friendly and fun game but the PvP is truly terrible and unbalanced.

Well my problem is I'm an altoholic so I know getting to end level in any MMo takes me 6mths+, but the one thing regardless of all of Aions faults is the combat is the best of any MMo I've subbed too.

I stopped playing it for a few weeks and on return I found 'Gorgos Server' quite quiet and our Legion members halved, but over the last 1-2mths it's steadily building back up and siege's over keeps are back to full battles. Population is increasing in terms of players coming back to the game, and maybe more might try it out IF the majority of changes make the game more enjoyable to casual players.

Guys do I just need to buy the Aion: Assault on Balaurea for £25 from Steam or an earlier version of the game as well? :S

From what I have heard(I stopped subbing before Assault on Balaurea came out) you can buy the Assault on Balaurea pack thing if you want a pet or two, but if you have the original game you can just download the content and not have any of the extra pets. I may be wrong, so can someone confirm?

If you have the game you dont need to buy anything, the assualt on balaurea thing is just a relaunch.

I've installed Aion through Steam and on the launcher it's saying "Aion (North America)" installed, is this right because there's an option for just "Aion" below and to install is another 9GB.

If I select file and settings the region is set to Europe.

I just ordered it thinking it was the expansion, guess i better get it sent back..

Where is everyone playing nowadays? I quit ages ago after the OcUK guild fell apart but have just returned.

I've just started on Parento.

Is there any value is being a Gladiator as a warrior rather than a tank or is it kinda pointless as other classess are better at dealing DPS?

I realise I can play the game however I want to but in other games there can often be little use for certain spec'd chars.

Is there a free trial/incentive for old players to return?

Intend to give it another shot, casual this time. Previously played on Spatalos, has there been a server merge? My characters name now has SP at the end?

na is correct, weird i know but thats steam for you.

Well, thanks to the 480gtx ordered last week :), I am back on Spatalos. Max details etc and it's enough to keep me playing for a while at least.

Anyone on Spatalos? Have a level 34 templar, 18 sorc, 10 cleric, up for some casual PUG's/Questing/PvP?

Could someone give me a quick outline on the new patches and such?

Did have a level 38 ish Gladiator on (Asmodian) but rerolled to Elyos as a Sorcerer and got to level 43 ish if I remember correct but I have not played for such a long time I think maybe before the flying pets patch came out? Must be a year or so,

Has much changed in the game I know back then the server I was on started going quiet and found it had to group higher level groups.
