I think I have that exact issue. I've been thinking about fitting a very very small fan and somehow sticking it to the rad of the H80 - but there's only about 3cm gap - so it needs to be mega-thin.

Scythe do a fan called the Jyu slim. It's very, very slim.

Got a problem cant seem to put anymore than 1.6volts in bios

I get over volt protection and cant find anyway to turn it off

I'm sure theres a lot more left in this chip

Don't you have to enable LN2 mode to do this?

It is all relative. With LN2 mode you can push your voltage even beyond 2.0V but you will produce serious heat quite quickly.

If you bump in really small increments and watch your temps like a hawk, you should be ok.

What temps are you getting at 1.58V?

Socket Temp was about high 50's low 60's

Core was mid 60's

I'm considering putting 1 of the Rads into a bucket of ice water and try pushing for 6Ghz

You could probably do it but your chip may degrade quite quickly. Depends on whether you want to keep it long term or just go for the numbers.

Unfortunately the Overdrive decided to have a paddy after replaced the 7950 with the GTX780. And doesn't allow me to overclock at all.

Just noticed RadeonPro can automatically set core affinities for each game. Makes life simpler when loading up NS2 by forcing it onto alternate cores on game start.
