*** Official AMD Phenom II X6 1055T & 1090T Overclocking Thread ***

Clocking these 1055T's are annoying.
I feel second class =/ XD.

lol dude! - if it's any consellation - I can't seem to get mine fully stable yet mate.

You might be better off with your 965 for gaming as that was doing an easy 4Ghz with CPU-NB really high.

For me however its best I stabalise mine at 4Ghz as i could only reach 3.8 on my 965.

To have 4Ghz do we HAVE to up the CPU-NB aswell? sure I read somewhere we need at least 2400>2800 on CPU-NB when clocking up 4Ghz....

anyway im running prine now at 4ghz 1.4v..

I can match this BUT my vcore is 1.49 ... is cpu PLL the same as others call LLC as thats at 2.5 .. maybe I should undervolt by 0.015 to get the default 1.475 at max

getting toasty at that 55C max but I could maybe need a reseat as I took the H50 and replaced after a min or two without cleaning reapplying MX2

still within spec but there is the summer heatwave to come .. lol maybe then again ..........

Good article here http://hwbot.org/article/news/hwbot_research_lab_amd_thuban_voltage_and_temperature_scaling_part_4

"Since there are now six cores demanding data from the memory, you will see quite a significant performance boost when increasing the Northbridge frequency. Luckily, it seems that on air cooling, the Thuban is ready for high NB clocks (3GHz 3D stable)"

running 52C-53C but maxed at some point 55C with room temp @ 25C but unless Im having a hot flush feels a whole lot warmer sitting here

now someone has to go complicate things and talk about clocking other parts .. sheesh just when I thought I had it easy by upping the multi and leaving everything else on AUTO .. lol

Martini1991. do u have tmpin2?

also is your core temp lower than the real cpu temp?

My "CPU core X" are all at 41.5C
My CPU Temperature is 57C
My motherboard temperature is 31C XD.

I think the V10 doesn't work correctly in an AM3 setup because of this whole fake core temp settings thing.

But my V10 is like cool to the touch, I've been told by others that the CPU temperature should be ignored, and the core temps should be under 62.

Either way, under my new settings it's been going for an hour so far, still strong.

I'll leave it another 7 hours, then just say it's stable.

Though the "It being calibrated higher" to protect the CPU does make sense, given how cool my cooler is in relevance to the announced 58c.

I have the Asus M4A785D-M PRO ddr2 version of that board, currently running 1055t 14x286/ht2860/nb2860/dram 381(333 divider wont work) 90mins prime and now about 10hrs of rosetta, around 1.5v. The pwm was very hot under load and I have now sinked them, maybe worth checking yours out

Noted - sure i've got some little copper mem sinks somewhere, I'll stick those on :D

gareth170 - All my 'core' temps are way lower than my 'TMPIN0' temps.

ummm mine aint anywhere near that wild a difference

Core # 0-5 = 49C
TMPIN1 = 54C
motherboard temp 40C as reported in HWMonitor

maybe I should turn the case fans up to medium but my ears may bleed

Just run linx for a few mins at 2.8ghz

Min are about that difference too under load altho currently (idle):

CPU: 30*C
Core: 17*C
Ambient (i have a digital thermometer): 15*C

Oh and just a side note, HWMonitor reads just about EVERY reading wrong for me :( (all voltages wrong, all fan speeds wrong, TMPIN1 and 2 exactly same) Im using everest to report temps.

but how can the core temp be right, mine idles at 13c in a 17c room lol,

its totally impossible

CPU temperature sensors are designed to work in reverse, they get more accurate the hotter they get.

My Q6600 used to report 9*C in a 14*C room.

Thats why 45nm Intels used to get stuck sensors, cus they get inaccurate the cooler they are.

Its not impossible its just inaccurate at low temps :)
