*** Official AMD Phenom II X6 1055T & 1090T Overclocking Thread ***

Ah, cheers Zoomee, I'd better give up on my plan then - I'm thermally limited on my overclock with just a 955, so if the 1090T runs even hotter I've got no chance. That's probably a good thing, I in no way need a hexacore :D

not sure what these babies top temp is but 60 is ok for now (I ain't even given the AS5 time to settle yet lol).

Top temp is 62*C on these, so be careful.

would have expected better temps with H50 than that tbh.

I'm getting my 1090T and H50 today, so I'll see how I get on later. Unfortunately City Link dont usually turn up till after lunch. Its going to be a long morning...

tbh I think it needs reseating as they are high temps - it hits about 58Degrees C under just prime - if I then use the PC for browsing etc it raises up to 60Degrees C. As most of the time no apps fulyl stress the CPU I'm not that bothered yet ;)

PS - This was just me spending a couple of hours yesterday messing!

Just woke up this morning to a nice surprise (no I'm not talking about my wifey lol ;) )

1090T @ 4Ghz on all 6 cores using following volts
CPU: 1.42v
CPU-NB: 1.3v
CPU-NB: 2400Mhz
HTT: 2000Mhz
DDR3 - 1600 9-9-9-24/2T @ 1.65v (stock for RAM)
All other settings Auto
Turbo Core disabled.

From what I've been reading most if not all 1090T's can managed 4Ghz with around 1.45v - now thats pretty impressive stuff as I would have thought 2 mores cores gives us a bigger margin for dodgy cores but wahaaay - this is doing better than my 965BE which only managed to get 4 cores @ 3.8 (1.45v too!)

What's the longest you've run Prime95 for at 4Ghz?

I think the High-K manufacturing process is what has boosted overclocking on these.

sounds sweeet :D but i wouldnt be going over 60c . we know the other phenoms had this 62c hot point so at 68c you had it at id say way to hot . as for your h50 it seems normal temps from me ive seen in numerous threads and similar temps.

prolly go to one of these in 6 months as i dont feel need to just yet but is tempting :p

Morning All

My 1090 is due for delivery around 1pm according to DPD estimate so hopefully I will be able to confirm it works in Gigabyte UD5P and the beta (unofficially released) BIOS sometime this afternoon.

As for overclocking ... ummmmm well I will try a little though I'm very much a 'dont know what I'm doing' person :D ... but i will try match 4Ghz with 4GB ram and an H50 and see how it goes.

Cozzy

lol..

tbh i wasn't gonna order until may or june but i kept saying about it to my gf then she given in. and offered to pay, :p..

I need a new girlfriend it'd seem :p

I couldn't justify the 70 quid.
Maybe if I'd kept my 790FXTA, then I'd have gone 1090T..
But we'll see what a 1055T under a V10 can achieve, if it's disappointing, I'll get a revised 10905 when they're available.
