** Official Antec Kuhler Owners' Thread **

Most of the newer motherboards allow full control of the fan headers from either the BIOS itself, or third party applications that are bundled with the motherboard in the OS. You can configure most of these to do what you are wanting to do. Their is no imperative to use the supplied fan.

Thats a diffrent model coming out later on someone was on about this else where cant remember where though sorry.

Thats what i said in my post was asking if there would be problems not using the fan connector from the pump if you want to change the fans and use the new fans on a pwm header and not use the included fan cable from the pump.

If you want to use PWM, you're more than welcome to - the fan header from the pump simply controls the fans via liquid temperature. If you'd rather have more control via your BIOS, there wouldn't be any problem.

Thanks Jessie exactly what I was wondering just wanted to make sure there wasnt a problem not using that cable from the pump. Do you happen to know what size screws would be needed to add a second fan to the rad please.

just seen this video and it says it comes with different colour changing lights on the unit it ?

also says you there is a program where you can monitor the water inside the unit ?

sounds rather good if you ask me.

mine is still sealed up from delivery tuesday.

The KUHLER H2O 920 is the next product we'll be releasing and has all of those features you mentioned and more.

s there an optimal configuration for the rad/fan setup? I have it in push/pull using both the original fan and the Phantom exhaust fan, with the original pulling. I also have the radiator mounted so the hoses are to the left hand side of the case as you look forward at it. Is there any better setup?

Push-pull is going to be the best cooling that you can get with a unit like this. It all depends on what you want to get out of the cooler. If you're pulling fresh air in from the outside of the case through the radiator, you'll see better CPU temps but slightly increased ambient temps. If you're pulling air through the radiator from inside the case, your ambient temps will be better but your CPU temps won't be as good.

With regard to the hoses, we haven't seen any measurable advantage to one hose orientation over another. Install them however is best for your case.

Thanks jessie, just don't think I could have any more intakes and it still work :)

Just do what I did mate, and use half the screws on one fan and the other half with the other, works like a charm :)

So come on guys give us your temps and pictures then. I'm hoping to build a rig in April and I'd going to go for a water cooler either way. So I want those temps and pics damn it! I demand them!

:D

idle at the moment is 25c on all four cores.

pump was a bit noisy when started but seem's to have settled down.
