Most of the vids I see are of the single player with lots of AI ect or completely empty?!

Do people buy this game for the single player then?

On Multiplayer how many people are there a side? Surely it needs to be huge so something feels like its going on in those massive maps..
 
Well, I was just going to wait till Friday the 19th, wander into town and pick this up from whomever was selling it the cheapest but I've just preordered it from that famous name highstreet gaming store.

Decided that saving £10 on the RRP + Free delivery which in theory "should" arrive on release day was too much to ignore. :cool:

Single player is awesome. So much goes on... and the fact some missions are small battles and others are stealth missions into villages etc.

Last night me an my squad had to get to friendly HQ and help a small seige but had to maneuver through forests etc for about a mile. Along the way we came into enemy contact a few times but the AI of the squad was awesome and we took them all out whilst avoiding casualties.

Got to our HQ and my next goal is to help out friendlies with a siege on the enemy, however there is a sniper picking us off and we need to locate him before our team is wipe out!

Simply amazing!

My account simply says "Your order is being held as a pre order".

Mind you, I only placed the order 30 mins ago. :p

I've never ordered pre order from this lot before so I don't know what to expect, I'm hoping it arrives on the day of release at some point as that is what they say on their website, anyone know if this is the "norm" for pre orders?.

Is AMA2 more like Operation Flashpoint when it comes to singleplayer missions? ARMA singleplayer mission were not that great.

I am sort of tempted to order even though I swore never to buy another Bohemia game again after ARMA. How do you guys think it will run on my PC?

The campaign opens out to a more dynamic/sandbox type affair after the missions that Shep is describing, and is like neither OFP or Arma 1 - you're pretty much left to your own devices. You have objectives to complete, but how you do them, in what order you do them and how you go about getting more intel is completely up to you. You're given support (chopper extraction, artillery, UAV etc - well you do when they work) and a small amount of intel.


EDIT: Oh joy here it comes. Next 3 days of hourly updates of whos preorder is awaiting packing/sent/delivered :rolleyes:
 
Absolutely loving this game, but still finding multiplayer confusing and difficult.

You joining this co-op evo servers and end up spawning at an airbase with people running around like headless chickens TK'ing each other or end up spawning in a forest 2000 metres away from your team....

Any helpful servers or noobie easy ones out there where you spawn on your squad and do missions together?
