Makes the game much better I think.

thanks fanatic and gord, fanatics patch fixed it.

Is anyone in a clan playing this game? I haven't a clue what im doing and often end up taking nice long drives through forests, not seeing a single enemy on the way. If only I had a picnic with me, I could really enjoy my sunday drives in my humvee.

Can anyone help a noob? what im after is to join a group of you arma pros on vent and you teach me the game over the next fortnight lol.

What can't I get in a cobra as well?....

I picked up a copy on the way from work and have only spent an hour in-game doing the training tutorials. I was all set for the worst, but to my amazement the game runs really well at 1680 x 1050 - visible distance 1600 - fill rate 100% - and everything on high in the advanced settings.

Is there a FPS cap or vsync that cannot be disabled because my FPS sits at 60 most of the time and the lowest it's dropped to is 50. I was expecting the worst so for me this is a result.

I know I have only experienced the tutorial and ship levels but how do the actual missions compare when it comes to framerates?

The mouse movement is also a huge improvement over Arma1. The graphics are just stunning and I would love to be running this on very high, but for now I am more than happy :):):D

Well if your getting 50-60 fps why not try Very High or if that is too much just set some of the options to Very High.
Also try to set fillrate optimizer to 133 % or 150 % for some supersamling AA-like effect.

Decided to get this and I am pretty impressed. I am only running it on a C2D6600 and a Nvidia 8800 but it plays fairly well. I am glad they have got the movement animations sorted. Approaching a village on the editor with a troop of Russian infantry looked so cool.

Yeah I was breezing it at first, reckon vsync is enabled as with 100% fillrate was getting 60-75fps. (75hz monitor of course.)
Anyway bump the fillrate to 200% and man it looks nice though drop to 13fps in places. :)

Exactly the same Saguy. My CPU is nowhere near the speed of yours and it's perfectly playable for me using almost the same settings. Great game so far and I've not even finished the first tutorial ;)

the no blur and no bloom have just made my game 200% smoother, im not very happy with performance with my 8800gtx, 4gb ram and e6600 @2.88ghz, mixtures between high and v high setting on 1920x1080
