well I've just tried Arma 2 on W7 64 bit vs Vista 64 bit ...
and even though its on a slower drive its a FAR FAR better experience
frame rates up from average of about 30 up to 36-38
but far more important is how smooth it is - feels like a different game- its that much better

My 4870x2 uses both GPUs under Windows 7 with the -winxp parameter
Windows 7 RC1 gave about 20%-25% higher frame rate than Vista when I tested.
Both 64bit versions by the way.

Hmmm Instal Vista or Windows 7 (freshly formatted today).
I know one thing with all this blur, bloom and head bobbing when you run its really making me feel sick.
How do I turn it all off?
Damn screenshots and videos are making me want to purhcase this game, must .... resist ..... until .... demo.......
