I'm about to commit suicide... half way through install I got a CRC mismatch..?

Got it again just now:

File copy error (CRC does not match).
C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2\AddOns\chenarus.pbo

Any idea if you can some how get Antialiasing to work and is there a way to get rid of the horrid blur?

Which OS are you using ?

If its vista / win7 try running installer as admin

If you are using the downloaded version you might have a dodgy file

I bought it this morning, cd version. Using vista x64.

I just swapped out my cd drive incase its an old firmware. If this doesn't work now then i'm not sure what to think.

Problem solved, swapped drive over with another and it now works - For troubleshooting purposes this occured on an LG GSA-4166B with Rom 1.02.

Absolutely stupid to have to swap over a peice of hardware to install the game.

You could switch the floating zone off in config to improve the mouse lag

I'm getting around 35 FPS while running around at the moment in armory mode. This is with everything max.

1920x1200 Interface Resolution
1920x1200 3D resolution
Maximum Visibility
All settings on their maximum
AA = Off (cant change settings)

Did take a screenshot with fraps but its blurred...

I was wondering what card to put in my shuttle to be able to play this?

Its currently:

E6600
4 gig Ram 6400
460 consair PSU
Either Vista 64 or XP (havent installed yet)

Im on a budget so what could i get for the graphics card.

This is a build in progress so i cant comment on clock speeds of processor but it should go over 3ghz.

Havent bought it meself yet like, gonna DL the demo 2moz, see how it runs on my machine.

Noob Question for ya!

Im playing the campaign and at the point where i get to be flown somewhere in a helicopter. How in gods name do i tell the pilot of the helicopter where to go(its AI controlled)?.

Should be able to select him via one of the F keys and then open the map and click where you want to go.

Are you at the point where you have to capture the 2 bad guys?
If so, don't use your chopper support; he'll be stupid and will crash into the trees and you'll be stuffed.
Use a Humvee and go on a tour of the hills with your team. Search all villages in the area where the officer put 3 crosses on your map. Only use the chopper to get you back again.
Worked for me anyhow.
It's scarey in those hills and you'll be using your roof mouted MG a lot.

Open map,

Spacebar > Communication > Request Support > Click Location on map.

Should work.
