Cheers ill try those suggestions now :)

EDIT: Excellent! ive made it to the camp to see the intelligence officer(with bad voice acting and english accent??) This games not very user freindly :)

Just need to sort out combat now. It usually starts and ends with a single shot and my head exploding like a melon. I never get to see who shoots me either :)

I would say buy this and wait for OF2 and then buy that.

this game is ace ace ace and I cannot wait for the mods. I spent 3 hours yesterday playing with and figuring out the mission editor. I have never played with a mission editor before and it was so much fun and really look forward to creating some good stuff with it and sharing with friends to play.

I bought this and was not looking forward to it that much, but I think it is the most fun I have had from a game this year so far. This is just great stuff, and PC gaming at it's purest: hard, complex and unforgiving

Multiplayer is annoying. Was just on the OcUK server and it was the usual collection of tards shooting up the home base and nobody really assaulting the town. Diificult to id enemy with everyone running around in circles and nobody quite sure what the objective was. When organised play happens this is going to be good fun, right now its just annoying.

Single player, when not bugged, is great fun. Worth £25 easy.

For some reason, my graphics look like a dog's dinner; no sharpness whatsoever. My fps hovers around 20fps no matter what my video settings are. Dropping to low quality doesn't seem to increase my fps. I have a 4870X2 graphics card and an E6750 processor. I intend to get a Q9550 processor tomorrow.
Surely I should be getting about 40 fps with my setup? I'm using the 9.5 catalyst drivers.

Even with a high clock on the E6750 u will get limited FPS as this game makes full use of both cores. Once u get ur Q9550 and clock it to 3.5GHz + u will notice a significant improvement.

Just getting into it now and it seems like an awesome game, but im struggling to see why the world is so big?! Can i just go off mid mission and explore without fearing for the rest of my squad?

I have a Q9550 with Geforce GTX 285, 8gig of ram on Vista 64bit and im finding that im better off having everything set high, but have the screen resolution quite low(1440x900?) and having some FSAA(med or high) on to compensate for the lack of resolution....i hate jaggies.

The squad AI is driving me nuts, they get themselves killed or sometimes they will not all get into a vehicle or drive over you or each other. Im going to try and leave them behind in base or something :)

EDIT: Actualy the game runs great at 1920x1080(3d and Interface) with "high" FSAA and "high" on everything else. Not having shadows seems to help a lot :) (make sure you have shadows set to high though, otherwise you get no dynamic lighting)
