So the only argument is because it would be nice for the spectators? Sorry but they're professional sportsmen; any spectator worth their salt would accept that and take the rough with the smooth in terms of the quality of spectacle.
As an England fan I'd personally rather keep the Ozzies to nil in this series than see some exciting cricket. Fighting the occasional boredom of cricket is what beer's for.
