*****Official Ashes thread*****

LOL Aussies might as well give up all their wickets, they arent going to get anywhere close to 200 let alone 583:p.

Engalnd should just skittle them out tonight to really put the hurt into this frankly pathetic Aussie side.

Aussie selectors are going to have to make some huge changes for the next test, otherwise they will be whitewashed at this rate.

Replay including hotspot:

How can so many batsmen not know that they've edged it? surely they can feel/hear/see the contact? do they just review it hoping that hotspot hasn't picked it up and the decision gets overturned?

True, have they got one right yet?

I think that that's 2 from 13 now this series.

Edit: ^^ I've played quite a lot of cricket, and have not once been caught behind without knowing that I nicked it. Obviously I wasn't playing in front of big, loud crowds, but still.

At this stage in Australian cricket, two openers getting 50 each is a fairy tale.

Oh great, we've lost Khawaja.

And on that bombshell I'm off to bed, hoping we last long enough for another day's play.

Oh dear.

So anyway, onto the next test. Surely Watson has to go. Warner in?

Agar out, Lyon in?

Pattinson out, Starc back in?

What a mediocre squad Australia have...

Exactly what i was going to say, the Aussie batsmen are a bunch of retards if they cant tell themselves...they might as well not bother reviewing because so far they havent got one right in any of the tests.

Watching sky now I actually feel a bit sorry for Watson, the man with the biggest pads in the world.

Pattinson hasn't impressed, but they seem to think quite highly of him. Personally, I think Watson has the potential to be brilliant, so I'm not sure I could drop him tbh. I would definitley try and get Lyon and Starc in though somehow. ...they might let Agar's 98 blind them to the fact that he hasn't looked good bowling:p

I'll be watching the tour game next weekend, so I'll get the measure of them up close;)...I hope the weather stays as glorious as this

Wouldnt call it a mediocre squad, id call it pathetically inept:p.

But i think Watson needs to be dropped...never really rated him as a test batsman, hes more suited to the 20/20 and 50 over game imho. Rogers and Hughes are another 2 that should be dropped as well. God knows who they would get in to replace those 3.

Pattinson has pace, and can swing the ball, but not the accuracy. Starc isn't that much better I suppose but Pattinson just hasn't figured England out. Harris and Siddle can stay. Not really sure how Agar made 98 at Trent Bridge, but he has to go.

Watson is the major disappointment. As Sky have just pointed out, he's so predictable. It's a shame for Australia that he is such a cornerstone. They also need his tidy bowling. His batting certainly isn't up to much.

I think in retrospect, Agar's 98 was probably the worst thing that could have happened to him, to much pressure on him now.
