*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

I think at this resolution with this much camo and health, the spotting system is necessary and a great feature, maybe if it faded over time or it spotted the last known location and faded as time went on it would be better? I mainly find it useful when using guns with lots of muzzle flare and 4x scopes because the enemy often gets lost in with the background.

I got my 5000 kills just now, got my combat excellence as well (all medals ;) )

I was playing this game like crazy in the few months after it came out, but I left for a bit and then when I came back the squad I'd normally played in had kinda stopped being on as much so it wasn't as fun, plus the M60 was being abused to hell.

Finished the kits ages ago, working on my Sniper platinums right now :)
 
It was the only game I played at one point, I'm up to 3622 kills, some of the pins are hard to get though I don't have a single Payback pin. I thought I might have to let a noob sniper get a streak on me then claim it back. How did you get yours Ksanti?
 
I have recently switched over to Hardcore and it is so much better. Much more tense with the snipers and llike someone already said, you actually use your surroundings and communication is so much better working as a team.
 
Really need to get back into this. Most enjoyable shooter for me for some time. Just been busy making my way through my huge back catalog of games (still got 30 untouched games).

Wish I could get along with this game on PC though. I originally got it on PC and while I was enjoying it, I just missed the controller too much, so picked it up on PS3, and had far more fun with it.
 
I seem to be doing the Right stick button while shooting even more frequently than in MW2 in this. I'd like to swap crouch with interact, but no can do in the options.

I had a bit more fun on it today apart from being robbed of a Quad roadkill via lag.
 
Anyone got any tips for ranking up? It seems to be taking forever! I am 26 at the moment, almost 27, it is taking me forever, with each round giving me maybe 3-6k of points. I have been chasing down the badged and gold stars, but can't see them giving me much more as i have almost all the badges lol

Why are you in a rush to level up? It's not like you get anything special for doing it. Just enjoy the game and let it happen naturally. ;)
 
No! Hmmm, in that case I will give that a shot, stick with a certain gun until plat :)

First one will be the M416, love that gun recently with 4x scope.

How do I get plat star?

I'm not in a rush parsay, it's just bugging me as I am playing loads but don't seem to have anything to show for it.
 
25 kills = Bronze
50 kills = Silver
100 kills = Gold
1000 kills = Platinum

odd as I have 293 kills on the m24 yet have 3 gold stars....

Ooh, just had my first go ever on hardcore mode. Have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. One of my massive gripes in normal mode is when people don't spot. Now that no-one CAN spot, it's one less thing to get on my ****. I will probably stick to this mode from now on. And I love the team killing aspect. "Oops, sorry mate. You just walked into my grenade." LMAO.

Ahhhhhhhhh, is this how you get the 'knife 5 mates' achievement? Or is it live mates not just random squad team members?
