I haven't played outside hardcore mode for months now, it's just an all round more exciting experience.
Losing the radar makes the game a lot better imo, it's much more tense.

No it's got to be mates in your friends' list.
That's what I like - no fannying about! Do you also need a medic to heal you when you've been shot? I was running around with blood all over my face with nary a medic in sight.
I hate the team kills especially intentional griefing, someone C4'd a UAV station I was using once, it seemed to disappear completely like when you've moved base as well.
You can still spot in HC, but you need to bring up the Map on the Start button(?). Motion mine and UAV spots are on there too iirc.

Keep meaning to pick this up on xbox, worth it? I enjoyed MW2 but I don't want to have to buy all the map packs

Had some brilliant games last night. My mates werent much help as they were sniper whoring it about a mile away but I had my trusty Ab Tank and was progressing quite nicely with a combo of C4 and tank shots.
Then my mates decided to help out and kept jumping on the base when I had loads of C4 planted. BOOM!!! Friendly fire...
Then I got booted for friendly fire because my mate spawned in front of me when I was shooting at someone. Headshot! Kicked...
Still had a great laugh and playing on hardcore has refreshed my love for the game as it was getting a little stale.

Not really played since last update. While I still seem to do better than most, I seemed to be sucking a bit.
Not sure if it's that I am out of practice or that they changed a lot of stuff.
And anyone struggle to use the tracer dart? I just can't seem to gauge it's speed and drop.
Yeah it does seem pretty random, if anyone has any tips I'd be interested to know as well. I can only ever hit the choppers when they come in really low.

Yeah I gave up trying with the dart. My mate at work doesnt seem to have a trouble with it but for the love of god I cant seem to hit those choopers with it.
Might have a practice with it tonight as its very useful if someone is a good pilot.

Envision in your mind the Laguna Presa level with the huge dam as the final area. Surrounded by high cliffs. Today I noticed three snipers had some how got up to the top of the cliff directly opposite the damn. Anyone know how in hell's name they got up there?

The tracer dart has no drop at all I noticed they gimped the speed back down, but at least it has the red trail back now. For something fixed in the distance like a mounted gun or (static camper) look though your launcher scope at it then switch to dart gun and pin it.
Or if you're in no close range danger have the TD as secondary and you can do the same with a Recon scope.
I get a lot of use out of them vs tanks.

yes, as you look at the cliff, it is possible to acctually jump up the landscape on the right handside of the cliff, takes a few attempts but eventually you get up there

Question: If someone revives you, do you still lose a death effecting your k/d? Or is it based on respawns?
Yes. You still get 1 death.

That sucks then. Because they could revive you, then you die, then you get revived and die again.
It takes a hell of a lot to get up there
As defenders you have to go wait up on the cliffs on the left as the attacking team move through, as soon as the bases move back, you climb up to the top, then sprint across an out-of-bounds area and try to get out on the other side within the 10 seconds, and you should come out at the top of that cliff.
It's not that useful outside of hardcore, not a hell of a lot of cover and it's a real pita to hit anything from up there
