*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

My Xbox Live expires in 17 days. Until they come up with a game where everyone has to get stuck in (i.e. no snipers) I'm not renewing it.

Sniping just ruins the experience IMHO.

EDIT: Does anyone dabble in the original Battlefield: Bad Company any more? I don't remember snipers being half as prevalent in that. I might go and grab a copy if there's still some activity on PS3.

Sometimes get frustrated with snipers - they seem to kill you one shot pretty much anywhere but with the M24 I need to get them right in the noggin. I know they have more powerful rifles then me and once i get levelled up that'll change but a bit annoying at the moment.

My K/D is 1.13 atm so happy about that so far :D

On normal mode you have to get headshots for one shot kills. It's only on hardcore that you can get body shots with one hit unless they are injured.

M24 is one of the best rifles you can use until you reach the GOL. Then it's that or the M95. I prefer the M95 as you can take out bikes with it too :D

If you go Hardcore then the SVV is good as its like an assault rifle/sniper gun and people die easier on hardcore.

Never tried them, but there are public sessions too. I've just noticed the AI has reduced health not sure what the actual figure is, but the M1 is a OHK chest/head.
 
It's the not being able to rank up that puts me off from buying it, plus I looked on the Playstation store and I seen that it's 14 quid and comes with 1943, I already bought that game ages ago I mean why waste my time fighting AI for nothing other then trophy's when I can be playing Rush or Conquest and gaining stats and rank. Convince me someone :D

Hardcore Onslaught with a mate is quite a good laugh, albeit completely frustrating. My friend and I have been struggling on the one with the islands for ages and ages, we've nearly got to the end a couple of times only to be killed just metres away from the final objective.

Would you say the AI was more difficult then in the Campaign? I completed the campaign on hard and thought it was too easy tbh.

EDIT

Unless Hardcore is the same as Hardcore in all the other game modes (no map, markers ect)

I didn't really notice a difference in any of the difficulty levels in campaign, but it's definitely more marked in Onslaught. It's not the same as Hardcore mode that would make it very hardcore.
 
I'm nearing the end of my weapon bronzing odyssey now with just the Shotguns and M14 to do.

Damn this game has some outstanding bugs from getting confused about who won to how it logs kills. I fell into the sea on Nelson Bay and it was logged as Destruction 2.0 because I happened to be near B as it came down. Jumped out of tank to set off some AT mines too low for the guns with a grenade and the blast killed the engineer. It was logged as Bradley kill.

The one that still confuses me is Atacama Rush, I was at a UAV station apparently killed by a SPAS OHK from the stern of the Ship.

I'm quite liking the shotgun attachment on a medium to long range weapon like the AN94. It's actually useful unlike the MW2 masterkey.
 
My most common one is the game reporting we've won/lost incorrectly. Must happend 3/5 times. Also the Epic Fails for not doing anything.

Am getting pretty annoyed with some of the shoguns though, the SPAS has some ridiculous rang on it, kills me in 1 hit whilst i'm at full HP from waaaay to far away.
 
Agree on the win lose thing. Though it have never stopped me getting the win pin even if it says we lost so it's just a graphic bug and nothing else.

One thing getting to me with online now is all the little groups of people camping and not bothering with the actual objectives... People have brought in their MW playstyle and it's killing it :(

Never had this with BC1 which I am tempted to go back to.

Not to mention... I have no desire to rank up anymore due to no awards past rank 24, just got rank 28 the other day.

Single player is "OK". Better than Modern Warfare 2's but not as good as the original Bad Company. IMHO. Online is still chocka yes.
