Havent even tried that...will soon. Hopefully my copy arrives today, already bought vietnam :)
 
This really is a team game unlike other fps games. I normally always play with a group and work well together. I just wish that you could have more than four players in the same team as we normally have 6 - 8

Would be nice if they added some sort of group chat amongst squads. Only thing lacking really for fun.
 
Bought vietnam today, love the music playing in the vehicles (as it did in the old BF:Vietnam) and sneaking up on people with the flamethrower.

I do seem to get taken out by snipers most of the time though. Makes a refreshing change from the 'vanilla' BC2.
 
I've just logged in to play some BC2 online and I've lost all my stats and weapons. I got the error message Could not connect to EA server first time round but I got in the second. Now when I join a game it seems that 80% of people don't have any stats or rank. Is this a known bug? I really don't feel like leveling through it all again.

Yes it is a known bug. If you read through this thread it has numerous complaints about it doing it.

On personal experience if it happens. I play through one round without the unlocks and then they open all up in the next round.

They are both excellent, I go between Modern BC2 and Vietnam most days.

I had a great 3 hour game earlier tonight and some excellent team work with a mate of mine, me on the UAV, him as Assault class on Heavy Metal map, spotting the enemy for him to take out in various bases on Conquest mode ... so much fun ..!

This has been happening more and more lately and I don't understand why. I can see my unlocks in the weapons and gadgets menu but they aren't ingame for me to use.
 
just picked this up for ps3 for 14 quid. cant wait to start playing.. when it arrives :D

edit: are people still playing i assume? and i havent bought a dead dog?
 
what happened :( bought vietnam last week and dont think ive been in a full 'server' yet


the being able to take helicopters down so easy is pretty rubbish too . has that crossed over into the standard game ? makes flying them pointless except for kamikaze missions into no mans land
 
Same thing with "Normal" BC2 a lot of times i've been put into games where one side massively outnumbers the other, or with very few players in at all, playing defenders on an 8an team against a team of 2 attackers is boring >.>
 
Picked this up for my ps3 today. I'm a fairly experienced pc player but I'm finding this really difficult. Obviously I havnt unlocked anything yet and need to get used to the controls.

Anyone fancy adding me to psn for a few games tomorrow?

It appears there are actually problems with the Xbox version of the game according to the following Twitter update a couple of nights ago > http://twitter.com/#!/OfficialBFBC2/status/25271524839653377

Unfortunately they don't seem to have actually done anything to fix the problem since then, and it appears to actually be getting worse. A friend and I spent hours this afternoon unable to even create a squad, let alone join a game. When I eventually did get in a game, it was half empty and my friend still couldn't join me.

So, in summary, Xbox 360 version borked.
