*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

Aye... its good to get a game where rather than play with a swaying cross hair you have to adjust and adapt according to height etc.

The sway used to get on my nerves..

KDR is 2.77 atm... looking to increase that 2moro lol :D

Mines 4.85 atm but I try not to go for it too much and will give over my life for the sake of objectives.

LOLs were had earlier as me and my mate were tanking and in the heat of the battle I jumped out to repair. I pressed left on the d-pad rather then right and pulled out the RPG....then without noticing went ahead with the repair.....need I say more :o

They need to do something about this sniping malarky, I'm up to 5.00.

It seems a little too easy :/

On the other hand I'm really enjoying the demo :)

Enjoying the demo though feels a little alien after time spent on the 50klicks server playing BF2.

Miss my DAO-12 and G3! Does not feel right having snipers with C4..

Still see there is lots of weapons to unlock so will have to buy this and get into a city map like good old Karkand.

Just had a good game on this (PS3) managed combat score of 5630 and award score of 7600 = 13230. Oh yeah I was top. This certainly will be brought when it comes out.

Loving it. be nice if they changed the maps during the Demo once a week too.

Great game, blows the socks off the COD games IMO.

Disappointed with this too be honest. Had a little play on the demo and the players were taking ridiculous amounts of damage before actually dying. Shot someone with a mini helicopter for 30secs straight and then he finally died.

Tried a bit of sniping and shocked to see that there was no movement of the scope at all. Even when standing up. Whats all that about?

All seemed a bit too easy and I only had a little blast on it. I think ill stick to MW2.

THe UAV is just that. A lot of people think its actually quite over powered. I think its beastly. Few well placed shots and people drop with it.

Sniping doesn't have sway for balance. With COD there's no bullet travel or drop, if you're sitting back sniping on attackers then it will be easy to get kills but in my experience doesn't do much for the team and in this game its much more about objectives rather then just killing.

As for the damage its halved in hardcore but you can drop people with around 3 quick bursts of most guns. Its just the recoil that means you cant spray unlike cod.

IMO COD is a joke in terms of being an easy game. I sit at 4.2 k:d purely due to ridiculous kill streak rewards that I'm not even controlling. Much more a bingo game then an FPS but each to their own.

I guess it depends who you play with and what games you play I guess. If you focus on just k/d ratio then it is easy to achieve that but if you actively go for the missions then its harder.

I actually found BFBC2 a lot easier. So much that it was a bit boring to be honest. It just seems a bit too arcadey. I also found like the guns didnt have much weight to them which made it feel not quite right. But like you said each to their own.

I think in terms of challenge its hard to judge at the moment. The player base currently on the demo isnt going to be the same as the player base on the final game. Lots of people just downloading for free and booting it up and having a bit of laugh.

As for the arcadeyness that's exactly what I dislike about COD. I just find it far to arcadey in ceratin areas. However they are both full on arcade games its just that lies in different places for different people.

Should be a limit of 1 per squad. This would encourage people to join the bloody things too, nobody ever seems to check 'put me in a squad' during match-loadup. Too many lone rambos. Put a cool-down on moving/leaving squads too, to avoid everyone skipping about just to select the class.

This would also avoid squad-jumping just to respawn close to the objective. I do this all the time, if my squad isn't close to the objective, I join another that is, then respawn there. There's nothing to stop this, and it's how matches are won.

They could probably do with limiting the snipers. Nothing worse then attacking when you got 5 guys sat on that rock sniping away.

I find these guys are easy targets - hide in the bushes at very back of map and light them up with the select button then just aim a bit above there heads. Got a good streak doing this. Though they should be able to do it back to me but I guess they are easier to spot as you already know where they are.

But yeah sniping seems powerful - just unlocked the T88. Can fire multiple shots without have to zoom out so don't have to go for a headshot - got time to hit them in chest a couple of times.

Having lot of fun though - the UAV is good fun. I have same problem on fire its machine guns? Sure I did it last time I played.

A definate no purchase for me. Looks nice enough, sounds nice enough but the sniping got old fast. I was looking for a worthy replacement for my other glitched shooter, this is not it.

lol at the people moaning about snipers...

Its a part of the game so you find ways of dealing with them, do you think that in a real conflict situation they would not allow snipers?!

"nope, sorry mr terrorist, we will not go to war with you as you have snipers"

WTF has real life got to do with a game. Everyone would camp if it was a real game. How about we get rid of respawns if you want real life. One big battle and if you die once you are never allowed to play the game again.

It makes me laugh when people try to claim these games are realistic.

Oh I've been shot three times in the body let me hide behind this rock for 10 seconds to heal up.

All that happened in the games I played is two tanks sitting at the back with a bunch of snipers.
