*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

I'm definatly up for some games tonight.

I also got really fed up, we was playing rush and defending, all bar one of the other time was sniping so it was basically 2 teams just sat at spawn doing nothing. They REALLY need to limit the amount of snipers as having too many just spoils the game imo.
 
Some awesome games last night on conquest. Snipers not a problem - got killed far more by other classes! And hardly noticed any mortar strikes - yet..

Love how games go from quiet skirmishes at the flags to massive intense battles. Got stuck in a loft next to one flag, lobbing grenades and noob tubing while the loft disintegrates around us.

Just been playing assault with XM8. Unlocked the F2000 but don't like this gun at all - never did on BF2 either.

Unlocked the Saiga semi shotgun and this gun is lots of fun and you get C4 with it on assault class instead of noob tube. Only 6 rounds a clip though.

Strange thing was, the map before (night time snowy map) the games defending and attacking were really good.
 
Could you add Swexx to the list of 360 players please :) my copy has finally arrived (really quite annoyed that i didn't pay for next day delivery lol)
 
Had a lot of fun last night, took down an annoying blackhawk with a default rpg, the snipers are getting irritating, I think a good idea would be that you can only have 1 per squad and an additional 2 or 3 lone wolf.
 
Hey, rp! Did you have a chance to test out the Carl Gustav rocket? Does it heat-seek the helicopters for a guaranteed hit?
 
hi guys

have'nt been playing online much of late because ive had online issues but i think ive got it all working fine now , i played a little MW2 yesterday but for some reason i got a bit bored even though i was enjoying it when it first came out.
Just noticed this game and a lot of people are saying its more of a teamwork game which sounds good as mw2 is more of a run and shoot type.

would you say this is a little bit better than cod mw2?

Impossible to answer really. a lot of people really love MW2, but I personally prefer BFBC2 over MW2 simply because of the forced teamwork factor. If you don't play as a team player, your side is doomed to fail. The perk system in MW2 annoys me, and after all, in BFBC2 you can be a real-life chopper gunner if you want :)

At the end of the day, if you're after a game based on teamwork, squad tactics, and all-out action, then BC2 is worth a good go as it has all of that. If you're just interested in running around racking up the highest score and getting your harriers, predators and helicopter gunners to do all the work for you, then BC2 is a no-go.

Also, I've added all of the XBox users from the first post to my friends list so if you get an invite from CHokKA, that's me :) The only one that hasn't worked is the GT for KonvictVIVIVI. Is it correct?

I think I unlocked that last night, not had a proper chance to test it out yet though. For some reason I kept ending up on the infantry heavy levels after it unlocked!
From the small go I had, I think it works as if a tracer dart is attached to the vehicle, but I don't know for sure yet. If it does work like that then I'll be picking those god awful annoying copters out of the sky on a regular basis!

The CG rocket doesn't work with the darts as yoyo says. The one before it, the RPG-7 does. I'm not sure about the one after it, MG3414 or something.

And has anyone actually managed to fire a tracer dart on to a moving helicopter? Bloody hard! ;)

No, but if it works like the other guy said it should not be an issue. I practised aiming a bit with the semi-manual ground based RPG, in the SP campaign yesterday, and I am quite good with it after a few attempts.

We need to find a 4th PS3 player with a mic to join our squad.

Actually, isn't it the AT4 that doesn't work with the tracers, because it is guided, and the Carl Gustav does as it isn't guided?
 
Gotta say, this game actually surpasses BF2 which took some doing. Yes you will find me playing sniper, but I'll find myself a remote perch and spend my time spotting for you and providing covering fire. x12 scope and spotterscope allow you to play in a proper recon role. If you actually play tthe sniper/recon tactically rather than just trying to boost your k/d you can become a real asset to both your team and your squad. Last night I played one map and got 60+ spotter assist kills and didnt actually fire a shot (I did call in a few mortar strikes though).

I am getting too long in the tooth to play the twitch classes, but I do have patience, a nice warm ghillie suit and a GOL sniper rifle

If you want someone to provide proper recon for your squad / team (XBox)
